¹¹ For the Lord God is a light and defence, the Lorde wyll geue grace and worshyppe, and no good thynge shall he wytholde from them that lyue a godly lyfe.

¹ After these dedes, the worde of God, came vnto Abram in a vision sayinge: Feare not Abram, I am thy shyld, and thy rewarde shall be exceadynge greate.

³ But thou, O Lord, arte my defender, my worshippe, and the lifter vp of my head.

² Euen he that leadeth an vncorrupt life: that doth the thing which is right, and that speaketh the trueth from hys hert.

¹ Of Dauid. The Lorde is my lyghte and my health: whome then shoulde I feare? the Lorde is the strength of my life, for whom then shuld I be afraied?

⁹ O feare the Lord, ye that be hys sayntes: for they that feare hym, lacke nothyng. ¹⁰ The ryche shall wante and suffre hunger, but they which seke the Lord, shal want no maner of thyng, that is good.

⁹ The prynces of the people are gathered together vnto the God of Abraham: for God is farre hyer exalted, then the mighty lordes of the earth.

⁹ Beholde O God our defence, loke vpon the face of thyne anoynted.

¹² And why? the Lorde shall shewe louynge kyndnesse, and oure lande shal geue her encrease.

⁹ But let Israell trust in the Lorde, for he is their succoure and defence. ¹⁰ Let the house of Aaron put their truste in the Lorde for he is their succoure and defence ¹¹ They that feare the Lorde, lette them put their trust in the Lord, for he is their succour and defence.

¹¹⁴ Thou art my defence & shylde, my truste is in thy woorde.

⁷ He preserueth the welfare of the righteous, & defendeth them that walke innocently:

⁹ He that leadeth an innocente lyfe, walketh surelye: but who so goeth a wrong way, shalbe knowne,

⁶ A poore man leadyng a godly lyfe, is better then the rych that goeth in froward wayes.

¹⁸ Who so leadetth a godly and an inocent life, shalbe, safe: but he that goeth frowarde wayes, shall once haue a fall.

¹⁹ The Sunne shall neuer be thy day lyght, and the light of the Mone shal neuer shyne vnto the, but the Lorde hym selfe shalbe thyne euerlasting lyght, and thy God shalbe thy glory. ²⁰ Thy Sunne shall neuer go doune, & thy Mone shal not be taken awaye, for the Lorde him selfe shalbe thy euerlastynge light, & thy sorowfull dayes shalbe rewarded the.

⁷ sayeth the house of Iacob. Is the sprete of the Lorde so cleane awaye? or is he so mynded? Trueth it is, my wordes are frendly vnto them that lyue right:

² But vnto you that feare my name, shall the Sonne of ryghteousnesse aryse, and healthe shalbe vnder his winges: ye shal go forth, & multipply as the fat calues.

³³ But rather seke ye first the kyngdome of heauen and the rightuousnes therof, & all these thynge shalbe ministred vnto you.

⁹ That was a true lyght, which lyghted all men that come into the worlde.

¹⁶ And of his fulnes haue all we receyued, euen (grace) for grace.

¹² Then spake Iesus agayne vnto them, saiynge. I am the lyghte of the worlde. He that foloweth me, shall not walke in darkenes: but shall haue the lyghte of lyfe.

¹⁶ The same spirite certifieth oure spirite that we are the sonnes of God. ¹⁷ Yf we be sonnes, we are also heyres, the heyres I meane of God, and heyres annexed with Christe yf so be that we suffer together, that we maye be glorified together. ¹⁸ For I suppose that the afflictions of thys lyfe are not worthy of the glory which shall be shewed vpon vs.

¹⁸ But we all beholde the glorye of the Lorde with hys face open, and chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glorye to glory, euen of the spirite of the Lorde.

¹⁷ For oure excedynge trybulation whiche is momentanye and lyghte, prepareth an excedynge and eternall wayghte of glory vnto vs,

¹⁴ But when I sawe, that they went not the ryghte waye after the truth of the Gospell, I sayde vnto Peter before all men, yf thou beynge a Iew, lyuest after the maner of the Gentyls, and not as do the Iewes: why causeste thou the Gentyls to lyue as do the Iewes?

⁶ and am surelye certifyed of this, that he whyche began a good worke in you, shall go forth wyth it vntyll the daye of Iesus Christe,

¹⁹ My God fulfill youre nedes thorowe hys gloriouse ryches in Iesus Christ.

²³ & the cytye hath no nede of the sunne neyther of the mone to lyghten it. For the bryghtnes of God dyd lyght it, & the lambe was the lyght of it.
