¹³ And one of the elders aunswered, saying vnto me: what are these, which are arayed in longe whyte garmentes, and whence came they?

⁸ And he sayde: Hagar Sarais mayde, whence comest thou & whether wylt thou goo? And she answered: I flee from my mastresse Sarai.

⁶ Then the wyfe wente and tolde her husbande saying: a man of God came vnto me, and the fashyon of him was lyke the fashyon of an Angel of God, exceading fearful: But I asked him not whence he was, neyther told he me his name.

²⁸ Then cried Iesus in the temple as he taught saiyng: ye knowe me, and whence I am ye knowe. And yet I am not come of my selfe, but he that sent me is true, whom ye knowe not.

⁴ And about the seate were .xxiiij. seates. And vpon the seates .xxiiij. elders syttynge clothed in whyte rayment, & had on their heades crounes of golde.

¹⁰ the .xxiiij. elders fel doune before him that sate on the throne, and worshypped him that lyueth for euer, and cast their crounes before the throne, saiynge:

⁵ And one of the elders sayd vnto me: wepe not: beholde a Lyon beinge of the tribe of Iuda, the rote of Dauid, hath obtayned to open the boke, and to lowse the .vij. seales therof.

¹¹ And I behelde, and I heard the voyce of many angels about the throne, and about the beastes, and the elders, and I heard thousande thousandes,

⁹ After this I behelde, and lo a greate multitude (which no man coulde numbre) of al nacions and people, and tonges, stode before the seate, and before the lambe, clothed wyth longe whyte garmentes, and palmes in their handes,
