⁹ you are not to call anyone 'father' on earth, for One is your heavenly Father;

⁸ you must not copy them; your Father knows your needs before you ask him. ⁹ Let this be how you pray: 'our Father in heaven, thy name be revered,

³² (pagans make all that their aim in life) for your heavenly Father knows quite well you need all that.

¹ 'Born of him!' Think what a love the Father has for us, in letting us be called 'children of God!' That is what we are. The world does not recognize us? That is simply because it did not recognize him.
