⁶ He said to them: Cast your net on the right side of the ship, and ye will find them. And they cast; and they could not draw up the net, because of the multitude of fishes it contained.

²⁷ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and they rushed upon that house, and it fell; and great was the ruin of it.

⁴ And when he ceased from speaking, he said to Simon: Launch out into the deep, and cast your net for a draught. ⁵ Simon answered, and said to him: Rabbi, all the night we have toiled, and have caught nothing: but, at thy bidding, I will cast the net. ⁶ And when they had done so, they inclosed very many fishes, so that the net was rent. ⁷ And they made signs to their associates, in the other ship, to come and help them. And when they came, they filled both the ships, so that they were near to sinking.

⁵ His mother said to the waiters: Whatever he saith to you, do it.

⁴¹ And some of them readily received his discourse, and believed, and were baptized. And there were added, on that day, about three thousand souls.

⁴ And many who had heard the word, believed; and they were, in number, about five thousand men.

⁶ But as the scripture testifieth, and saith: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou attendest to him? ⁷ Thou hast depressed him somewhat lower than the angels: glory and honor hast thou put on his head; and thou hast invested him with authority over the work of thy hand. ⁸ And all things hast thou subjected under his feet. And in this subjecting of all things to him, he omitted nothing, which he did not subject. But now, we do not yet see all things subjected to him. ⁹ But we see him, who was depressed somewhat lower than the angels, to be this Jesus, because of the passion of his death; and glory and honor are placed on his head; for God himself, in his grace, tasted death for all men.
