²¹ I find therefore a law coinciding with my conscience, which assenteth to my doing good, whereas evil is near to me.

¹ And Jesus, being full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan. And the Spirit led him into the wilderness,

³⁴ Jesus said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you, That whoever committeth sin, is the servant of sin.

¹² Therefore let not sin reign in your dead body, so that ye obey its lusts.

¹⁴ And sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

²³ But I see another law in my members, which warreth against the law of my conscience, and maketh me a captive to the law of sin which existeth in my members

²⁵ I thank God; by means of our Lord Jesus Messiah I shall be rescued. [ (Romans 7:26) Now, therefore, in my conscience, I am a servant of the law of God; but in my flesh, I am a servant of the law of sin. ]

² For the law of the spirit of life, which is in Jesus Messiah, hath emancipated thee from the law of sin and death.

¹¹ And put ye on; the whole armor of God, so that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Accuser. ¹² For our conflict is not with flesh and blood, but with principalities, and with those in authority, and with the possessors of this dark world, and with the evil spirits that are beneath heaven. ¹³ Therefore put ye on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to meet the evil one; and, being in all respects prepared, may stand firm.

¹⁷ Wherefore it was right, that he should be in all respects like his brethren; that he might be merciful, and a high priest faithful in the things of God, and might make expiation for the sins of the people.

¹⁵ For we have not a high priest, who cannot sympathize with our infirmity; but one who was tempted in all respects like us, aside from sin.

¹⁹ And they promise them liberty, while they themselves are the slaves of corruption: for, by whatever thing a man is vanquished, to that is he enslaved.
