¹² A letter came to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, "Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father, 'Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

¹¹ Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

⁴³ He walked in all the way of Asa his father; He did not turn aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: however the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.

⁹ When I looked, look, a hand was put forth to me; and, look, a written scroll was in it. ¹⁰ He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written in it lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
