⁴¹ Then those who received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.

¹⁶ There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field. ¹⁷ His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.

³ Your people offer themselves willingly on the day of your power. On the holy mountains at sunrise the dew of your youth will be yours.

⁴⁴ "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. ⁴⁵ "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, ⁴⁶ and having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

⁵ Simon answered him, "Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the nets." ⁶ When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking. ⁷ They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.

¹² Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.

¹⁵ In these days, Peter stood up in the midst of the brothers (and the number of names was about one hundred twenty), and said,

³⁷ Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what should we do?"

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

⁴ But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

⁶ The crowds listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip, when they heard and saw the signs which he did. ⁷ For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed. ⁸ There was great joy in that city.

⁴⁸ As the non-Jewish people heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord. As many as were appointed to everlasting life believed.

³¹ They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." ³² They spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house. ³³ He took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his household. ³⁴ He brought them up into his house, and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, with all his household, having believed in God.

¹⁴ and though my condition was a trial to you, you did not despise nor reject; but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Where was the blessing you enjoyed? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.

⁶ You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
