¹⁷ These great animals, which are four, are four kings, who shall arise out of the earth.

¹⁴ from men with your hand, LORD, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill their womb with treasure. They are satisfied with children, and they leave their wealth to their little ones.

³⁷ You, O king, are king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, and the strength, and the glory; ³⁸ and wherever human beings dwell, the animals of the field and the birds of the sky has he given into your hand, and has made you to rule over them all: you are the head of gold. ³⁹ After you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; and another third kingdom of bronze, which shall bear rule over all the earth. ⁴⁰ The fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron, because iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things; and as iron that crushes all these, shall it break in pieces and crush.

³ Four great animals came up from the sea, different from one another. ⁴ The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I saw until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand on two feet as a man; and a man's mind was given to it.

¹⁹ He said, "Look, I will make you know what shall be in the latter time of wrath, for it belongs to the appointed time of the end. ²⁰ The ram which you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia. ²¹ The male goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king. ²² As for that which was broken, in the place where four stood up, four kingdoms shall arise out of his nation, but not with his power.

³⁶ Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I would not be delivered to the Jewish leaders. But now my Kingdom is not from here."

¹ And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names.

¹¹ I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a serpent.
