²⁵ You shall know also that your descendants shall be great, and your offspring as the grass of the earth.

⁵ And he brought him outside, and said, "Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And he said to him, "So will your descendants be."

⁹ "'I will have respect for you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.

⁴ You shall be blessed in the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.

¹³ He had also seven sons and three daughters. ¹⁴ He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch. ¹⁵ In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. ¹⁶ After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, to four generations.

¹⁶ There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.

² His descendants will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.

³ Look, children are a heritage of the LORD. The fruit of the womb is a reward. ⁴ As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. ⁵ Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won't be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

³ Your wife will be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants, around your table. ⁴ Look, thus is the man blessed who fears the LORD. ⁵ May the LORD bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life. ⁶ Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel.

³ For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants: ⁴ and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.
