¹¹ I'm not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.

⁸ But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. ⁹ But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as plunge people into ruin and destruction. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

³ and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;

⁵ Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." ⁶ So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me?"

¹⁰ I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now is come the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
