³ So God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested on it from all his works which God had created and made.

²³ "Also take fine spices: of liquid myrrh, five hundred shekels; and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, even two hundred and fifty; and of fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty; ²⁴ and of cassia five hundred, after the shekel of the sanctuary; and a hin of olive oil. ²⁵ You shall make it a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil. ²⁶ You shall use it to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the testimony, ²⁷ the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, ²⁸ the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its base. ²⁹ You shall sanctify them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy. ³⁰ You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest's office.

⁹ You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture: and it will be holy. ¹⁰ You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar will be most holy.

¹⁷ It happened in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was set up. ¹⁸ And Moses erected the tabernacle, and put its sockets in place, and set up its hooks and its boards, and put in its bars, and he erected its pillars. ¹⁹ He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁰ Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and sanctified them. ¹¹ He sprinkled it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its vessels, and the basin and its base, to sanctify them.

¹ It happened on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel; ² and he said to Aaron, "Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD. ³ You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt offering; ⁴ and a bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for today the LORD appears to you.'" ⁵ They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD. ⁶ Moses said, "This is the thing which the LORD commanded that you should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear to you." ⁷ Moses said to Aaron, "Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD commanded." ⁸ So Aaron drew near to the altar, and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. ⁹ The sons of Aaron presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar: ¹⁰ but the fat, and the kidneys, and the cover from the liver of the sin offering, he burned upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹¹ The flesh and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp. ¹² He killed the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons delivered the blood to him, and he sprinkled it around on the altar. ¹³ They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burned them upon the altar. ¹⁴ He washed the entrails and the legs, and burned them on the burnt offering on the altar. ¹⁵ He presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first. ¹⁶ He presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance. ¹⁷ He presented the meal offering, and filled his hand from there, and burned it upon the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning. ¹⁸ He also killed the bull and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, which he sprinkled around on the altar, ¹⁹ and the fat of the bull and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covers the entrails, and the kidneys, and the cover of the liver: ²⁰ and they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burned the fat on the altar: ²¹ and the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD, as Moses commanded. ²² Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings. ²³ Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people. ²⁴ There came forth fire from before the LORD, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar: and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

⁸⁴ This was the dedication of the altar, on the day when it was anointed, by the leaders of Israel: twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden ladles;

⁸⁸ and all the cattle for the sacrifice of peace offerings twenty-four bulls, the rams sixty, the male goats sixty, the male lambs a year old sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after it was anointed.

⁶⁴ The same day the king made the middle of the court holy that was before the house of the LORD; for there he offered the burnt offering, and the meal offering, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offering, and the meal offering, and the fat of the peace offerings.

¹⁹ You blind people. For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

²⁷ And the leaders brought the onyx stones, and the stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastplate;

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² "Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps. ³ When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting. ⁴ But if they blow just one, then the leaders, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. ⁵ When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward. ⁶ When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys. ⁷ But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm. ⁸ The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations. ⁹ When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. ¹⁰ "Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am the LORD your God." ¹¹ It happened in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony. ¹² The children of Israel went forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran. ¹³ They first went forward according to the commandment of the LORD by Moses. ¹⁴ First, the standard of the camp of the people of Judah went forward according to their armies. Come with us, and we will treat you well; for the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel." ³⁰ He said to him, "I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives." ³¹ He said, "Do not leave us, please; because you know how we are to camp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes. ³² And it shall be, if you go with us, that it shall be that whatever good the LORD does to us, we will do the same to you." ³³ They set forward from the Mount of the LORD three days' journey. The ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting place for them. ³⁴ The cloud of the LORD was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp. ³⁵ It happened, when the ark went forward, that Moses said, "Rise up, LORD, and let your enemies be scattered. ⁶ Then the leaders of the ancestral houses, and the leaders of the tribes of Israel, and the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, with the officers over the king's work, offered willingly; ⁷ and they gave for the service of God's house of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron a hundred thousand talents. ⁸ They with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

⁸ And his officials gave for a freewill offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites; and Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the rulers of God's house, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small livestock, and three hundred head of cattle.

⁶⁸ Some of the heads of ancestral houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for God's house to set it up in its place: ⁶⁹ they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.

⁷⁰ Some from among the heads of ancestral houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred thirty priests' garments. ⁷¹ Some of the heads of ancestral houses gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand two hundred minas of silver. ⁷² That which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priests' garments.

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² "Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering. ³ This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, bronze, ⁴ blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair, ⁵ rams' skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood, ⁶ oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, ⁷ onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate. ⁸ Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. ⁹ According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all of its furniture, even so you shall make it. ¹⁰ "They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be three feet eight inches, its breadth two feet three inches, and two feet three inches its height. ¹¹ You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.

⁴ Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, "This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying, ⁵ 'Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, the LORD's offering: gold, silver, bronze, ⁶ blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair, ⁷ rams' skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood, ⁸ oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, ⁹ onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate. ¹⁰ "'Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that the LORD has commanded:

² I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing." ³ As for the holy ones who are in the land, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.

¹ "Look, my servant I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations. ² He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street. ³ He won't break a bruised reed. And he won't extinguish a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice. ⁴ He will not grow dim or be crushed, until he has established justice on the earth, and in his name the coastlands will hope." ⁵ Thus says God, the LORD, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it. ⁶ "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations; ⁷ to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.

¹ Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: the LORD has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name: ² and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he has hidden me; and he has made me a polished arrow, in his quiver has he kept me close: ³ and he said to me, "You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified." ⁴ But I said, "I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with the LORD, and my reward with my God." ⁵ Now says the LORD who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him; for I am honorable in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength. ⁶ And he says, "It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may bring salvation to the farthest part of the earth." ⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to the one who is despised, to the abhorred of the nation, the servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the LORD who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you." ⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In an acceptable time I have answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will preserve you, and give you as a covenant to the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritage:

¹¹ He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ; ¹³ until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature person, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

⁸ This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable for people;

²⁵ The duty of the sons of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting, ²⁶ and the curtaining of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and around the altar, and its cords for all of its service.

²⁴ This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens: ²⁵ they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above on it, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting, ²⁶ and the tapestries of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them. So they are to serve. ²⁷ At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden, and in all their service; and you shall appoint their duty to them in all their responsibilities. ²⁸ This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting: and their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

³⁶ The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle's boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service, ³⁷ the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, and their cords.

²⁸ This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting: and their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ²⁹ "As for the sons of Merari, you shall number them by their families, by their fathers' houses; ³⁰ you shall count them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who enters on the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting. ³¹ This is the duty of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting: the tabernacle's boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, ³² and the pillars of the court around it, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name you shall appoint the instruments of the duty of their burden. ³³ This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest."

³¹ Their duty shall be the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the screen, and all its service.

⁴ This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, the most holy things. ⁵ When the camp moves forward, Aaron shall go in, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of the Testimony with it, ⁶ and shall put a covering of sealskin on it, and shall spread over it a cloth all of blue, and shall put in its poles. ⁷ On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the pitchers for pouring with them; and the continual bread shall be on it. ⁸ They shall spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover the same with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles. ⁹ They shall take a blue cloth, and cover the lampstand of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it. ¹⁰ They shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on the frame. ¹¹ On the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles. ¹² They shall take all the vessels of ministry, with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, and cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame. ¹³ They shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it. ¹⁴ They shall put on it all its vessels, with which they minister about it, the fire pans, the flesh hooks, the shovels, and the basins; all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles. ¹⁵ "When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting. ¹⁶ "The duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, and the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings."

⁶ And when they came to the threshing floor of Nodan, Uzza reached out his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the cattle stumbled.

¹³ And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of the LORD had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

³ David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD to its place, which he had prepared for it.

¹³ For because you were not prepared the first time, the LORD our God made an outbreak against us, because we did not seek him according to the ordinance."

²⁶ Also the Levites will no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service."

¹ It happened on the day that Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle, and had anointed it and sanctified it, with all its furniture, and the altar with all its vessels, and had anointed and sanctified them;

⁵ The officers shall speak to the people, saying, "What man is there who has built a new house, and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.

⁶³ Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the LORD, two and twenty thousand head of cattle, and one hundred twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

⁵ King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God's house.

⁹ On the eighth day they held a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

¹⁶ The children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the people from the exile, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy. ¹⁷ They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

²⁷ At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with giving thanks, and with singing, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and with harps.

⁴³ They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

³³ for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

⁴⁰ Let all things be done decently and in order.

⁵ For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

⁸ Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies. Your fatherʼs sons will bow down before you.

¹⁰ The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the rulerʼs staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. And it is he whom the peoples will obey.

⁷ Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

³ Those who camp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions: and the prince of the people of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

¹⁴ First, the standard of the camp of the people of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.

²⁰ and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon became the father of Salmon,

⁴ and Ram the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the father of Salmon,

³² of Jesse, of Obed, of Boaz, of Salmon, of Nahshon,

²⁹ You shall make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls to pour out offerings with. You shall make them of pure gold.

¹³ They shall give this, everyone who passes over to those who are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary; (the shekel is twenty gerahs;) half a shekel for an offering to the LORD.

¹⁶ He made the vessels which were on the table, its dishes, its spoons, its bowls, and its pitchers with which to pour out, of pure gold.

¹ "'When anyone offers a grain offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it.

³ Your valuation shall be of a male from twenty years old even to sixty years old, even your valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

²⁵ All your valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs to the shekel.

⁴⁷ you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; after the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs):

⁴³ and the ten bases, and the ten basins on the bases;

⁴⁵ and the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: even all these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon, in the house of the LORD, were of burnished bronze.

¹⁴ They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered. ¹⁵ The captain of the guard took away the fire pans, the basins, that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver.

⁹ This is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, one thousand platters of silver, twenty-nine knives, ¹⁰ thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels one thousand.

²⁵ and weighed to them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his officials, and all Israel there present, had offered:

¹⁹ The captain of the guard took away the cups, the fire pans, the basins, the pots, the lampstands, the spoons, and the bowls; that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver.

² Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king and his lords, his wives and his secondary wives, might drink from them.

²⁰ In that day there will be on the bells of the horses, "HOLY TO THE LORD;" and the pots in the LORD's house will be like the bowls before the altar.

⁸ And she, being prompted by her mother, said, "Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist."

¹¹ And his head was brought on a platter, and given to the young woman: and she brought it to her mother.

⁷ Aaron shall burn incense of sweet spices on it every morning. When he tends the lamps, he shall burn it. ⁸ When Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.

³⁴ The LORD said to Moses, "Take to yourself sweet spices, gum resin, and onycha, and galbanum; sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be an equal weight; ³⁵ and you shall make incense of it, a perfume after the art of the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy: ³⁶ and you shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be to you most holy. ³⁷ The incense which you shall make, according to its composition you shall not make for yourselves: it shall be to you holy for the LORD. ³⁸ Whoever shall make any like that, to smell of it, he shall be cut off from his people."

⁸ oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,

⁷ On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the pitchers for pouring with them; and the continual bread shall be on it.

⁵⁰ and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.

²² and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold: and as for the entry of the house, the inner doors of it for the most holy place, and the doors of the main hall of the temple were of gold.

¹⁴ When they had made an end, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, of which were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels with which to minister and to offer, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.

¹ The LORD called to Moses, and spoke to him out of the Tent of Meeting, saying, ² "Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When anyone of you offers an offering to the LORD, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock. ³ "'If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD. ⁴ He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. ⁵ And he shall kill the bull before the LORD. Aaron's sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting. ⁶ And he shall skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces. ⁷ The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire; ⁸ and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar; ⁹ but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹⁰ "'If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep, or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without blemish. ¹¹ He shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the LORD. Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar. ¹² He shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat. The priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar, ¹³ but the entrails and the legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall offer the whole, and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹⁴ "'If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons. ¹⁵ The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar; ¹⁶ and he shall take away its crop with its filth, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes. ¹⁷ He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

¹ Now Israel stayed in Shittim; and the people defiled themselves by having sexual relations with the women of Moab, ² and they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods; and the people ate, and bowed down to their gods. ³ Israel joined himself to Baal Peor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. ⁴ The LORD said to Moses, "Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang them up to the LORD before the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel." ⁵ Moses said to the judges of Israel, "Everyone kill his men who have joined themselves to Baal Peor." ⁶ Look, one of the children of Israel came and brought to his brothers a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the door of the Tent of Meeting. ⁷ When Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the midst of the congregation, and took a spear in his hand; ⁸ and he went after the man of Israel into the pavilion, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. ⁹ Those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand. ¹⁰ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ¹¹ "Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in my jealousy. ¹² Therefore say, 'Look, I give to him my covenant of peace: ¹³ and it shall be to him, and to his descendants after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was jealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.'" ¹⁴ Now the name of the man of Israel that was slain, who was slain with the Midianite woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a fathers' house among the Simeonites. ¹⁵ The name of the Midianite woman who was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head of the people of a fathers' house in Midian. ¹⁶ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ¹⁷ 'Harass the Midianites, and strike them; ¹⁸ for they harassed you with their tricks, with which they have deceived you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague in the matter of Peor.'"

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² "Command the children of Israel, and tell them, 'My offering, my food for my offerings made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to me, you shall observe to offer to me in their due season.' ³ You shall tell them, 'This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer to the LORD: male lambs a year old without blemish, two day by day, for a continual burnt offering. ⁴ You shall offer the one lamb in the morning, and you shall offer the other lamb at evening; ⁵ with the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil. ⁶ It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a pleasant aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. ⁷ Its drink offering shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb. ⁴ Surely he bore our diseases, and took our pains; yet we considered him stricken, and struck down by God, and afflicted.

¹⁰ Yet the LORD was pleased to crush him and make him ill. Although his soul is made a reparation offering, he will see his offspring, he will prolong his days, and the desire of the LORD will succeed by his hand. ¹¹ After the suffering of his soul he will see light and be satisfied by his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, will make many righteous, and he will bear their iniquities.

²⁸ even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

¹⁹ For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; ²⁵ whom God set forth whom God displayed publicly as a mercy seat, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, because in God's forbearance he had passed over the sins previously committed; ²⁶ to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, so that he would be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.

⁶ For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For rarely does one die for the righteous. Yet perhaps for a good person someone might dare to die. ⁸ But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God's wrath through him. ¹⁰ For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life. ¹¹ Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

¹⁶ The gift is not as through one who sinned: for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification. ¹⁷ For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ So then as through one trespass, all people were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all people were justified to life. ¹⁹ For as through the one man's disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous. ²⁰ The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly; ²¹ that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

³⁴ Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and more than that, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

⁶ who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

¹⁰ For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many children to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

¹⁸ knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ;

²⁴ who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose wounds you were healed.

¹⁸ Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

²³ if his sin, in which he has sinned, is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a goat, a male without blemish.

²⁵ The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering. He shall pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.

¹⁹ namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

⁸ Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

⁵ Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the people of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.

²⁰ Noah built an altar to God, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean flying creature, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

¹ Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

² And walk in love, even as Christ also loved us, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

⁸ I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me. ⁹ I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens. ¹⁰ For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills. ¹¹ I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine. ¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. ¹³ Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? ¹⁴ Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High.

¹⁶ For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering.

¹¹ "What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?," says the LORD. "I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed animals. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats.

²² For I did not speak to your fathers, nor command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

²² Yes, though you offer me your burnt offerings and meal offerings, I will not accept them; neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat animals.

¹⁵ I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals, with the offering of rams, I will offer bulls with goats. Selah.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the nations," says the LORD of hosts.

¹⁰ And the whole crowd of people were praying outside at the hour of incense.

³ Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him to offer up, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar which was before the throne.

² His descendants will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed.

²⁰ They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

²⁷ He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who destroys, and even until a complete destruction, until the decreed end is poured out on the one who destroys."

¹⁶ that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the non-Jews, serving as a priest the Good News of God, that the offering up of the non-Jews might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.

This was the offering of Pagiel the son of Ochran. ⁷⁸ On the twelfth day Ahira the son of Enan, prince of the people of Naphtali ⁷⁹ gave his offering: one silver platter, the weight of which was one hundred thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a meal offering; ⁸⁰ one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense; ⁸¹ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁸² one male goat for a sin offering; ⁸³ and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two head of cattle, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Ahira the son of Enan. ⁸⁴ This was the dedication of the altar, on the day when it was anointed, by the leaders of Israel: twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden ladles; ⁸⁵ each silver platter weighing one hundred thirty shekels, and each bowl seventy; all the silver of the vessels two thousand four hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; ⁸⁶ the twelve golden ladles, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, after the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the ladles weighed one hundred twenty shekels; ⁸⁷ all the cattle for the burnt offering twelve bulls, the rams twelve, the male lambs a year old twelve, and their meal offering; and the male goats for a sin offering twelve; ⁸⁸ and all the cattle for the sacrifice of peace offerings twenty-four bulls, the rams sixty, the male goats sixty, the male lambs a year old sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after it was anointed.

¹⁵ Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan."

²⁹ "The tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the people of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

¹⁰ And the leaders gave offerings for the dedication of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the leaders gave their offerings before the altar.

⁶ The multitude of camels shall cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praises of the LORD. ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall come up with acceptance on my altar; and I will glorify the house of my glory. ⁸ "Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? ⁹ Surely the islands shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. ¹⁰ "Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you: for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor have I had mercy on you.

¹⁰ We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat.

¹⁴ The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

¹⁴ Now, look, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of the LORD one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.

⁴ even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, with which to overlay the walls of the houses;

⁷ and they gave for the service of God's house of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron a hundred thousand talents.

²⁵ and weighed to them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his officials, and all Israel there present, had offered: ²⁶ I weighed into their hand six hundred fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels one hundred talents; of gold one hundred talents;

¹⁸ You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. ¹⁹ Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat. ²⁰ The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. ²¹ You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you. ²² There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel.

⁹ It happened, when Moses entered into the Tent, that the pillar of cloud descended, stood at the door of the Tent, and spoke with Moses. ¹⁰ All the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the door of the Tent, and all the people rose up and worshiped, everyone at their tent door. ¹¹ The LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. He turned again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart out of the Tent.

¹ The LORD called to Moses, and spoke to him out of the Tent of Meeting, saying,

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

⁸ With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even openly, and not in riddles; and he shall see the LORD's form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?"

⁴ So the people sent to Shiloh; and they brought from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, who sits above the cherubim: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

²³ In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each seventeen feet and three inches high.

¹ [For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "The Lilies of the Covenant." A Psalm by Asaph.] Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock, you who sit above the cherubim, shine forth.

¹ The LORD reigns. Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim; the earth shakes.

¹⁶ Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.

¹² To them it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you, they ministered these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
