²² A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.

⁷ I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. ⁸ I will give to you, and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God."

¹² Now therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever; that you may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.'

¹⁶ Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay; ¹⁷ he may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

¹² What man is he who fears the LORD? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose. ¹³ His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the land.

²⁵ I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.

²⁸ The children of your servants will continue, and their descendants will be established before you."
