²⁶ My son, give me your heart; and let your eyes keep in my ways.

⁵ And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

⁴³ Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of the LORD.

² Blessed are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart.

⁹ BET. How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. ¹⁰ With my whole heart, I have sought you. Do not let me wander from your commandments. ¹¹ In my heart I have hidden your word, that I might not sin against you.

¹ My son, do not forget my teaching; but let your heart keep my commandments:

⁴ He taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words. Keep my commandments, and live.

²³ Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life.

²⁵ Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. ²⁶ Make the path of your feet level. Let all of your ways be established. ²⁷ Do not turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil.

⁹ Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.

³⁷ Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. ³⁸ And whoever does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.

²⁶ "If anyone comes to me, and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died. ¹⁵ He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.
