¹⁴ So I said to him, "My lord, you know." He said to me, "These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb's blood.

³ He cast four rings of gold for it, in its four feet; even two rings on its one side, and two rings on its other side.

¹⁸ "Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

³ Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel. ⁴ He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, "Take the filthy garments off of him." To him he said, "Look, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing." ⁵ I said, "Let them set a clean turban on his head." So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the angel of the LORD was standing by.

¹ "In that day there will be a spring opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

²¹ for then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.

⁸ Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me." ⁹ Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head." ¹⁰ Jesus said to him, "Someone who has bathed only needs to have his feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you." ¹¹ For he knew him who would betray him, therefore he said, "You are not all clean." ¹² So when he had washed their feet, put his outer garment back on, and sat down again, he said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? ¹³ You call me, 'Teacher' and 'Lord.' You say so correctly, for so I am. ¹⁴ If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

³³ I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up. I have overcome the world."

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into the Kingdom of God.

³ Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance;

¹¹ Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

²⁶ that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, ²⁷ that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

⁴ so that we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.

¹⁴ how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹² Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.

¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ;

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and freed us from our sins by his blood;

⁹ "I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

⁹ They sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals: for you were killed, and redeemed for God with your blood those from every tribe, language, people, and nation,

⁹ When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of people who had been killed for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they had. ¹⁰ They called out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" ¹¹ A long white robe was given to each of them. They were told that they should rest yet for a little longer, until their fellow servants and their brothers, who would also be killed even as they were, should complete their course.

¹¹ They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. They did not love their life, even to death.

² I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who overcame the beast, his image, and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.

⁶ I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered with great amazement.

¹⁴ Blessed are they who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
