³ Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the matters that pertain to this life?

¹⁴ With your power (by your hand) rescue me from mortals, O Jehovah, from mortals who look forward only to this life. You fill their bellies with your treasure. Their children are satisfied with it, and they leave what remains to their children.

⁴¹ »Then he will tell those on his left: ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the ever-burning fire that is prepared for the Devil and his [fallen] angels.

¹⁴ »The seeds that fell among the thorns are people who hear the word and go their own way. They are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and do not produce fruit.

³⁴ »Be awake so your hearts are not weighed down. Do not allow the weight of worldly involvement, drunkenness, and cares of this life be a snare when that day suddenly comes.

⁴ If you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, would you appoint as judges those who mean nothing to the congregation?

⁴ No soldier entangles himself in the affairs of this life. That way, he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.

⁴ God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to captivity in pits of darkness reserved for judgment!

⁶ Angels who did not keep their position left their proper habitation. He has kept them in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
