19 An inner room was built in the rear of the Temple. The Ark of the Covenant was to be placed there.

Exodus 40:20-21

20 He took the words of God’s promise (covenant) and put them in the ark. He put the poles on the ark and placed the throne of mercy on top of the ark. 21 Then he brought the ark into the tent and hung the canopy over it to mark off where the ark was. Moses followed Jehovah’s instructions.

1 Kings 6:16

16 An inner room, called the Most Holy Place, was built in the rear of the Temple. It was thirty feet long and was partitioned off by cedar boards reaching from the floor to the ceiling.

1 Kings 8:6-10
