The Holy Spirit, which God gave to those who obey him, also witnessed.« ³³ When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to kill them.

¹⁷ He that knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.

⁶ But he gives more grace. The scripture said, »God resists the proud, but gives grace (loving-kindness) to the humble.«

⁵ Likewise, you younger men, be subject to the older men. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and serve one another. God resists the proud, but gives loving kindness to the humble. ⁶ Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you at the proper time.
