¹⁹ »When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, in order that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

¹² Jehovah blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.

¹ ([Psalm of David]) Blessed (happy) is the one who has concern for helpless people. Jehovah will rescue (save) him in times of trouble. ² Jehovah will guard him and keep him alive. He will be blessed in the land. Do not place him at the mercy of his enemies. ³ Jehovah will support him on his sickbed. You will restore him to health when he is ill.

⁹ He gives freely to poor. His righteousness continues forever. His head is raised in honor.

²⁴ There is one who scatters, and yet increases. There is one who withholds what is due and it leads to poverty. ²⁵ The liberal person will prosper. He who waters will be watered.

²¹ He who despises his neighbor sins. He who has mercy on the poor is happy.

¹⁷ When you help the poor (needy) (lowly) (depressed) you lend to Jehovah. He will pay you back.

⁸ But the noble man devises noble plans. He stands firm for what is honorable.

⁷ »Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house? When you see the naked, should you cover him and not hide yourself from your own flesh? ⁸ »Your light will break out like the dawn. Your recovery will speedily spring forth. Your righteousness will go before you and the glory of Jehovah will be your rear guard. ⁹ »‘Then you will call, and Jehovah will answer! You will cry and he will say: ‘Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, ¹⁰ and if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will be like midday. ¹¹ Jehovah will continually guide you. He will satisfy your desire in scorched places and give strength to your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

³⁵ »Love your enemies and do good to them. Lend expecting nothing in return and your reward will be great. You will be sons of the Most High for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

³⁸ »Give and it shall be given to you. You will receive a good measure. It will be pressed down, shaken together, running over and they will give it to you. For with the measure that you measure out it will be measured to you also.«

¹³ »When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. ¹⁴ »You will be blessed because they are not able to pay you back. God will repay you on the day the good people rise from death.«

⁶ He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will reap bountifully. ⁷ Let each man do according as he has purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸ God is able to make all grace abound toward you. You have plenty of everything you need and should abound in every good work.

¹⁷ Whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him? ¹⁸ My Little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth. ¹⁹ By this we shall know we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before him.
