⁵ His light shines through darkness and it cannot be extinguished.

²² »How long, you simple (stupid) (foolish) ones, will you love simplicity (foolishness) (stupidity)? The scoffers delight in scoffing. Fools hate knowledge!

²⁹ »You have no use for knowledge and you refuse to respect Jehovah. ³⁰ »You rejected my advice and paid no attention when I warned you.

¹⁰ The world was made through him. He was in the world and the world did not recognize him.

Otherwise they would see with their eyes and perceive with their heart. Then they would turn and I would heal them.«

²⁸ They did not like to retain God in their knowledge, so God gave them over to a reprobate (depraved) mind, to do things that are not fitting.

¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God. They are foolishness to him! He cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
