¹⁰ »I have not hidden your righteousness deep in my heart. I have been outspoken about your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not hidden your mercy and your truth from the great congregation.«

²⁵ Save us, O Jehovah, save us! Give us success, O Jehovah! ²⁶ Blessed is he who comes in the name of Jehovah! We have blessed you from the house of Jehovah.

¹¹ Your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against you.

¹⁵ I will meditate on your precepts and regard your ways.

⁴² I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in your word. ⁴³ Do not take the word of truth completely out of my mouth, for I wait for your ordinances.

⁹⁷ O How I love your law! It is my meditation all day long.

⁹⁹ I have more insight than all my teachers, for your laws are my meditation.

¹ My son, take my words to heart and treasure my commandments within you. ² Pay close attention to wisdom, and let your [mind and] heart (inner being) reach for discernment. ³ Call out for insight. Lift up your voice for understanding. ⁴ Search for wisdom as if it were silver. Hunt for it as if it were hidden treasure! ⁵ If you do these things you will have respect for Jehovah and you will find the true knowledge of God!

¹ My son, do not forget my law. Let your heart obey my commandments.

²⁷ Do not turn to the right or to the left. Remove your foot from evil.

²⁰ »I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

³ Strengthen the tired hands and the knees that tremble with weakness. ⁴ Tell the discouraged ones with anxious heart: »Be strong and do not be afraid! God is coming to your rescue! He is coming to punish your enemies.«

¹ Jehovah created Jacob and formed Israel. Jehovah says: »Do not be afraid for I have reclaimed you. I have called you by my name. You are mine. ² »When you go through the sea, I am with you. When you go through rivers, they will not sweep you away. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned, and the flames will not harm you. ³ »I AM JEHOVAH YOUR GOD, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, YOUR SAVIOR. Egypt is the ransom I exchanged for you. Sudan and Seba are the price I paid for you. ⁴ »I honor you because you are precious to me and I love you. I will exchange others for you. Nations will be the price I pay for your life. ⁵ »Do not be afraid for I am with you. I will bring your descendants from the east and gather you from the west.

Those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. ¹² »Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. ¹³ »I AM JEHOVAH, YOUR GOD! I take hold of your right hand and say to you: Do not fear; I will help you. ¹⁴ »Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I will help you. This is the declaration of Jehovah, your Redeemer, and the Holy One of Israel.

¹ Here is my servant, whom I have strengthened. Here is the one I have chosen, with whom I am pleased. I have filled him with my Spirit, and he will bring justice to every nation.

²¹ »This is my promise to them,«says Jehovah. »My Spirit is on you and my words that I put in your mouth will not leave you. They will be with your children and your grandchildren permanently,« says Jehovah

⁷ Jehovah said to me: »‘Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ You must go wherever I send you. You must say whatever I command you to say. ⁸ »Do not be afraid of people. I am with you. I will rescue you,« says Jehovah.

² »He will revive us after two days. He will raise us up on the third day that we will live before him.

¹⁹ He said, »O man greatly beloved, do not fear, peace be to you, be strong, yes, be strong.« And when he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, »Let my lord speak for you have strengthened me.«

⁴ »Be strong Zerubbabel,« said Jehovah. »Be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, said Jehovah. Work! I am with you,« said Jehovah of Hosts.

⁹ Jehovah of hosts said: »Let your hands be strong you who hear these words from the mouth of the prophets. These are words from the day that the foundation of the house of Jehovah of Hosts was laid. It was for the purpose of building the Temple.

²¹ »Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. He who does the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

²⁴ »Everyone who hears my words, and does them is like a wise man that builds his house on a rock.

³⁵ »The good man performs good things out of his good treasure. The evil man performs evil things out of his evil treasure.

²⁶ »But it will not be so among you. He who will be great among you must be your servant. ²⁷ And he who will be first among you will be your attendant (servant) (minister).

⁹ Those going ahead of him and following him shouted praise: »Glory to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of Jehovah! Glory in the highest!« (Psalms 118:26)

²⁰ »Teach them to observe all the things I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.«

²⁸ He replied: »More blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.«

¹⁰ »Whoever is faithful in little things will be faithful in large ones. Whoever is unrighteous in small things will be unrighteous in large ones.

²⁷ »Bring my enemies that do not want me to rule over them and kill them in front of me.«

¹⁷ »If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

²¹ »He that has my commandments, and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the person who loves me. I will love him and disclose myself to him.«

¹⁹ Peter and John answered: »You judge whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God.

⁹ The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision: »Do not be afraid, but speak. Do not keep silent! ¹⁰ »I am with you and no man will harm you. I have many people in this city.«

³⁶ »After David served his own generation by doing the will of God he died and was buried with his fathers. His body decayed. ³⁷ »But he (Jesus), whom God raised again, saw no decay.

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, appointed (set apart) for the good news of God,

³¹ What shall we then say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

³⁷ In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

¹ Let every person be subject to superior authorities. For there is no authority except by God. God allows the authorities to serve in their positions. ² Whoever opposes the authority resists the ordinance of God. Those who resist will receive judgment. ³ For rulers are objects of fear, not to good works, but to the evil. Will you not have respect for the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from it. ⁴ He is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid for he does not bear the sword in vain. He is the minister of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil. ⁵ You must be in subjection, not only because of that wrath, but also for the sake of your conscience.

²⁶ When one member suffers all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

⁵ Love does not act indecently. It is not selfish. It is not provoked and does not take into account a wrong suffered.

¹³ Be alert (be watchful) and stand fast (be vigilant) (persevere) in the faith, carry on as men (be courageous), be strong. (Ps 31:24)

¹³ For you brothers, were called for freedom; only do not use your freedom for an occasion to the flesh. Serve one another through love!

² Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.

²⁹ Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth. Speak what is good for understanding as the need may be, that it may give grace (divine favor) to those who hear.

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in his mighty strength.

²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²² If I live in the flesh this will bring fruit from my labor. I do not know what to choose. ²³ I am hard pressed between the two. I have the desire to depart and be with Christ for it is far better. ²⁴ Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake. ²⁵ Having this confidence, I know that I will remain. Yes, I will remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith. ²⁶ Let your rejoicing abound in Christ Jesus through my presence with you again.

⁴ Look out for the interest of others and not only for your own personal interest.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you with all wisdom. Teach and admonish one another with psalms, praises to God, and spiritual songs. Sing with gratitude in your hearts to God.

¹⁴ Do not neglect the spiritual gift in you. It was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders. ¹⁵ Be diligent and think about these things. Give yourself wholly to them. That way your progress may be apparent to all. ¹⁶ Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things. When you do this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

¹ You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace (loving-kindness) that is in Christ Jesus.

⁵ Indeed Moses was faithful in His house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken afterwards. ⁶ Christ was faithful as a Son over God’s house. We are His house if we hold on to our courage (confidence) and rejoice (speak boldly) about our hope until the end.

¹ I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, ² They should be made for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the people of the nations might hear. I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion (Satan the Devil) (great danger) (1 Peter 5:8) (Psalm 22:21) (1 Thessalonians 2:18).

¹ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness. ² It is in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal.

¹ Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, and to be ready to do every good work,

²³ There have been many priests. This is because they have been prevented from continuing by death. ²⁴ He continues forever and therefore has his priesthood without change.

²⁸ He that despised Moses’ Law died without mercy under two or three witnesses. ²⁹ What about those who despise the Son of God? Those who treat as a cheap thing the blood of God’s covenant that purified them from sin? Those who insult the Spirit of grace? Think how much worse the punishment they deserve will be!

²⁵ Be careful, then, and do not refuse to hear him who speaks. Those who refused to hear the one who gave the divine message on earth did not escape. How much less shall we escape then, if we turn away from the one who speaks from heaven!

⁵ You should be free from the love of money. Be content with what you have, for he has said: »I will not leave you. I will not forsake you.«

¹ This letter is from James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. Greetings to the twelve tribes that are scattered.

¹³ Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it is to the king, ¹⁴ or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do good. ¹⁵ It is God’s will that you do the right things and that this will silence the ignorance of foolish men.

²² Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, who deceive themselves. ²³ For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. ²⁴ He sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. ²⁵ But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continues, being not a hearer who forgets but a doer who works, this man will be blessed in what he does.

¹⁸ »I am alive! I was dead and, behold, I am alive forever, Amen. I have the keys of death and the grave.

⁴ The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet. She was adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. She had a golden cup in her hand. It was full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
