²⁹ All prosperous people on earth will eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust will kneel in front of him, even those who are barely alive.

¹² The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift. The rich among the people will seek your favor.

⁶ They trust their riches and brag about their abundant wealth. ⁷ No one can ever redeem (buy back) his brother or pay God a ransom for his life. ⁸ The price to be paid for him is so costly it can never be paid ⁹ so they should live forever and never see the grave (pit) (destruction).

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute (presents). The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts. ¹¹ Yes, all kings will bow down before him. All nations will serve him.

⁷ Their eyes stand out with fatness, and their heart’s imagination run wild.

³¹ The anger of God rose against them and killed some of their stoutest ones, and subdued the choice men of Israel.

⁷ He lifts the poor from the dust. He lifts the needy from a garbage heap.

¹⁶ That is why the Almighty Jehovah of Hosts will send a degenerative disease against brave men. A flame will be turned into a raging fire under his power.

¹⁹ But your dead will live. Their bodies will rise. You, who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.

⁴ »From deep in the earth, you will call out for help. Your voice will sound like a mumble (indistinct voice) from out of the dust. It will be faint like a whisper.

²³ »I have bound myself with an oath. A word has gone out from my righteous mouth that will not be recalled. Every knee will bow to me and every tongue will swear allegiance.

³ »Nations will come to your light. Kings will come to the brightness of your illumination. ⁴ »Look up, look around, and watch. All of your people assemble and come to you. Your sons come from far away. Your daughters are carried in their arms. ⁵ »Then you will see this and rejoice. Your heart will shake with joy. The riches of the sea will be brought to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.

¹⁶ »You will drink milk from other nations and nurse at royal breasts. Then you will know that I am Jehovah, your Savior, the Mighty One of Jacob, and your Defender (Protector).

⁹ »You are destroying yourself, Israel. You are against me, your helper.

³⁶ »He who puts active faith in the Son has everlasting life. He who disobeys* the Son will not see life for the wrath of God remains upon him.« (*Greek: apeitheo: willfully disobey, not having faith)

²⁵ Jesus said: »I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies. ²⁶ »Whoever lives and puts active faith in me will never die. Do you believe this?«

¹⁰ Why do you judge your brother? Why do you look down on your brother with contempt? We will all stand before the judgment seat of God (Theos). ¹¹ It is written: As I live, says Jehovah, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will acknowledge (confess to) Jehovah. (Isaiah 45:23) ¹² So then every one of us will give account of himself to God.

¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,

¹² I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God. The books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged according to the things written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ The sea gave up the dead in it. Death and the grave delivered up the dead in them. Every man was judged according to his works. ¹⁴ Death and the grave were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ Whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled (thrust) (thrown) into the lake of fire.

²⁴ The nations will walk by means of its light. The kings of the earth bring their glory into it.
