¹⁴ Jehovah is intimate with those who respect him. He reveals the intent of his covenant to them.

¹³ »Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be a long lasting covenant.

¹⁷ Jehovah said: »Shall I hide what I am doing from Abraham? ¹⁸ »Abraham will definitely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him. ¹⁹ »I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household; and that they may remain in the righteous and just way of Jehovah. Jehovah will bring to Abraham what he told him.«

¹³ »He told you what you must do to keep the covenant he made with you. You must obey the Ten Commandments, which he wrote on two stone tablets.

³² Jehovah hates people who do evil. He takes righteous people into his confidence.

¹⁸ Say to the king and his mother: »Come down from your thrones, because your crowns have fallen off your heads.«

³¹ »The time is coming,« proclaims Jehovah, »when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. ³² »It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, although I was a husband to them,« says Jehovah. ³³ »This is the covenant (agreement) that I will make with Israel after those days,« declares Jehovah. »I will put my teachings (Law) inside them. I will write those teachings (Law) on their hearts (inner man) (mind) (will) (conscience) (understanding). I will be their God, and they will be my people.« ³⁴ »No longer will each person teach his neighbors or his relatives by saying: ‘Know Jehovah.’ »All of them, from the least important to the most important, will know me,« declares Jehovah. »I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer hold (remember) their sins against them.«

¹¹ He responded: »You are allowed to know the divine secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but it is not for others to know. (The Greek word for »you« is plural and is applied to the disciples as a group.) ¹² »He who has shall receive more to the point of abundance. He who does not have, it shall be taken away including that which he has.

¹⁸ Have the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the holy ones,

³ For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

¹⁷ »'He who can hear should listen to what the Spirit says to the congregations! To those who overcome in victory I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give each of them a white stone on which is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.'
