¹⁹ The temple of God was opened in heaven. There was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant. And there were lightnings and voices and thunder and an earthquake and great hail.

¹⁸ »At this time tomorrow, I will send a very heavy hail, such as has not been seen in Egypt from the day it was founded until now. ¹⁹ »Bring your livestock and whatever you have in the field to safety. Every man and beast that is found in the field and is not brought home will die from the hail.« ²⁰ The ones among the servants of Pharaoh who respected the word of Jehovah made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses. ²¹ He who paid no regard to the word of Jehovah left his servants and his livestock in the field. ²² Jehovah said to Moses: »Stretch out your hand toward the sky. Hail will fall on all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.« ²³ Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky. Then Jehovah sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. Jehovah rained hail on the land of Egypt. ²⁴ It hailed, and lightning flashed while it hailed. This was the worst storm in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation. ²⁵ All over Egypt the hail knocked down everything that was out in the open. It struck down people, animals, and every plant in the fields and destroyed every tree in the fields. ²⁶ The region of Goshen, where the Israelites lived, was the only place where there was no hail. ²⁷ The king sent for Moses and Aaron and said: »This time I have sinned. Jehovah is in the right. My people and I are in the wrong. ²⁸ »Pray to Jehovah! We have had enough of this thunder and hail! I promise to let you go. You do not have to stay here any longer.« ²⁹ Moses said to him: »As soon as I go out of the city, I will lift up my hands in prayer to Jehovah. The thunder will stop. There will be no more hail. Thus you may know that the earth belongs to Jehovah.

²¹ »After you put into the ark the words of my covenant that I will give you, place the throne of mercy on top. ²² »I will be above the throne of mercy between the angels whenever I meet with you. I will give you all my commandments for the Israelites.

⁵ »When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons will go in and take down the canopy that hangs over the Ark containing the words of God’s Covenant. First they will cover the Ark with the canopy.

¹⁵ »When Aaron and his sons finished covering the holy things and the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites will come to carry all the holy articles. They must never touch the holy things, or they will die. The Kohathites will carry all the things from the tent of meeting.

³³ The people left Sinai, the holy mountain. They traveled three days. Jehovah’s Ark of the Covenant always went ahead of them to find a place for them to camp.

¹¹ As they fled from Israel, and were going down to Beth-horon, Jehovah cast down great stones from heaven upon them all the way to Azekah and they died. In fact hailstones killed more than the children of Israel killed using their swords.

²² »Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail? ²³ »These I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle.

¹² Out of the brightness in front of him, those rain clouds passed by with hailstones and lightning.

³² He gave them hail and lightning instead of rain throughout their land.

¹ In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw (discerned) Jehovah seated on a throne, high and exalted. The train of his robe filled the Temple. ² Above him were seraphs, each with six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. ³ They called to one another: »Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of Hosts. All the earth is full of his glory.« ⁴ At the sound of their voices the foundations and thresholds trembled and the Temple was filled with smoke.

² Behold, Jehovah has a strong and mighty one (Assyria). He will cast down to the earth with military power. It will be like a destructive thunderstorm with hail and a mighty flood of water.

³⁰ Jehovah will make his majestic voice heard. He will come with all his might, with furious anger, with firestorms, windstorms, rainstorms, and hailstones.

¹⁹ The forest will be flattened because of hail, and the city will be completely leveled.

¹¹ »So tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A flooding rain will come, and you, O hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will break out.

²² »‘With pestilence and with blood I will enter into judgment on him. I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, with hailstones, fire and brimstone.

¹⁴ Their minds were blinded. Until this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It is not revealed to them that Christ voided it. ¹⁵ But to this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies upon their heart. ¹⁶ When one turns to God, the veil is taken away.

⁴ It had a golden incense burner. The Ark of the Covenant was completely covered with gold. It contained the golden pot that had the manna, and the rod of Aaron that had sprouted, and the tables of the covenant. ⁵ The cherubim of glory shadowing the mercy seat were above the Ark. Now is not the time to speak in detail. ⁶ When these things are prepared, the priests enter the outer room often to carry on their services. ⁷ Only the high priest enters the inner room. Once a year he entered with blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people. ⁸ The Holy Spirit revealed that the way into the Most Holy Place was not open while the tent was still in use.

⁵ Lightnings and thunders and voices came from the throne. There were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne. These are the seven Spirits of God.

⁵ The angel took the incense vessel, and filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it to the earth. There were voices, and thundering and lightning, and an earthquake.

⁷ The first angel blew his trumpet. Hail and fire mixed with blood came down upon the earth. A third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

¹³ In that same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand men were slain in the earthquake, and the survivors were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹⁵ The seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were great voices in heaven, saying: »The kingdom of the world has become our God’s, and his Christ will rule as king forever and ever.«

¹⁵ Another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud: »Thrust in your sickle, and reap! The time has come for you to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.« ¹⁶ He who sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. ¹⁷ Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

⁵ After that I noticed the temple of the sanctuary of the tent of witness was opened in heaven. ⁶ The seven angels with the seven plagues came out of the temple. They were clothed in pure white linen, with their chests girded with golden girdles. ⁷ One of the four beasts gave the seven angels bowls full of the anger of God who lives forever and ever. ⁸ The temple was filled with smoke from the glory and power of God. No man was able to enter into the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

¹⁸ There were voices, and thunders, and lightnings. There was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

²¹ There fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent (45 to 100 pounds). Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for the plague was exceeding great.

¹¹ I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
