³ »I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.«

³⁴ Jacob tore his clothes in sorrow and put on sackcloth. He mourned for his son a long time.

²⁶ Two of the seventy elders, Eldad and Medad, stayed in the camp and did not go out to the tent. There in the camp the Spirit came on them, and they too began to shout like prophets.

⁵ A mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to the beast. And authority to act was given to him to continue forty-two months.

¹⁰ I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me: »Do not do that. I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers. You have the witness from Jesus: worship God! For the witness from Jesus is the spirit (mind-set) of prophecy.«

⁴ I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I also saw the people who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image. They had not received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands. They lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

² »Do not measure the court outside the temple for it is given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.
