¹³ I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

² »‘»But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will afflict your whole territory with frogs. ³ »‘»The Nile will swarm with frogs. They will come up and go into your house and into your bedroom and on your bed. They will go into the houses of your servants and on your people, and into your ovens and into your kneading bowls. ⁴ »‘»The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your servants.«’« ⁵ Jehovah also said to Moses: »Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the streams and over the pools. Make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’« ⁶ »So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt. The frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. ⁷ »But the magicians used their secret powers to do the same thing.

⁴⁵ He sent a swarm of flies that bit them and frogs that ruined them.

³⁰ He made their land swarm with frogs, even in the kings' bedrooms.

⁹ The evil (lawless) one will come with the power of Satan and perform all kinds of false signs and wonders. ¹⁰ He will use every kind of wicked deceit on those who will perish. They will perish because they did not welcome and love the truth so as to be saved. ¹¹ So God dispatches the power of deceit (error) to work in them so that they are allowed to believe what is false.

¹ The Spirit explicitly says that some will fall away from the faith (truth) in later times. Spirits and doctrines of demons will seduce them, ² through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron. ³ They will forbid marrying, [and command] to abstain from food, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

¹ Know this also that in the last days perilous (dangerous) times will come. ² For men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous (lovers of money), arrogant, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful (ungrateful), unholy, ³ unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, despisers of those who are good, ⁴ traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; ⁵ having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Stay away from people like this! ⁶ Among them are those who creep into houses and lead captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away with various lusts.

¹ There arose false prophets among the people. There will be false teachers among you! They will privately bring in destructive heresies (contrary doctrines), denying even the Master who bought them. They bring swift destruction on themselves. ² Many will follow their lascivious (filthy sensual) deeds. The way of the truth will be maligned. ³ They speak evil words about you because of their extreme greed. They will exploit you with false evil words. Their judgment from long ago is not idle. Their destruction will not delay.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit. Test the spirits to see whether they are from God. This is because many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² Here is how you know the Spirit of God, every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is from God. ³ Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that you heard was coming and now it is already in the world.

³ Another sign appeared in heaven. It was a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. ⁴ His tail swept a third of the stars of heaven, and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered. He was ready to devour her child as soon as it was born.

⁹ The great dragon was thrown down, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was hurled down to the earth, and his angels with him. ¹⁰ I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, »Now has come the salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power (authority) of his Christ: for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accused them before our God day and night. ¹¹ They conquered (overcame) him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives when faced with death. ¹² Therefore rejoice (be glad), you heavens, and you that dwell in them. But woe to the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having fierce anger, because he knows that he has only a short time.« ¹³ When the dragon saw that he was thrown to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male-child.

¹ The dragon stood on the shore by the sea. I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. His horns had ten crowns on them. Blasphemous names were on his heads. ² The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority. ³ One of his heads appeared to have had a fatal wound. His fatal wound had healed, and the entire world followed the beast with admiration. ⁴ Men worshiped the dragon that gave power to the beast. They worshiped the beast, saying: »Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?« ⁵ A mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to the beast. And authority to act was given to him to continue forty-two months. ⁶ He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven. ⁷ It was granted to him to wage war with the holy ones, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all tribes, and tongues, and nations.

¹¹ Then I saw another wild beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon. ¹² He exercises all the authority of the first beast that came ahead of him. The second beast causes the earth and those who live there to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. ¹³ He performed great signs, so that he made fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. ¹⁴ And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles he had power to do in the sight of the beast. He says to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast that had the wound by a sword and yet lives. ¹⁵ He had power to give breath to the image of the beast and to make that image of the beast speak. He caused many to be killed, those who would not worship the image of the beast. ¹⁶ And he forces all persons, the great and the small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. ¹⁷ No one could buy or sell without the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name. ¹⁸ This requires wisdom. Let him that has understanding calculate the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

¹⁴ They are demonic spirits, working signs, which go to the kings of the earth, of the whole world. They gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

² He cried out with a strong voice: »Babylon the Great has fallen, she has fallen! She has become the habitation of demons, and a haunt for every unclean spirit. She is a prison for every unclean and hateful bird.

²⁰ The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet that performed signs before him, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

¹⁰ The devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are, and will be tormented day and night forever.
