² that ye may no longer live the remaining time in the flesh after the lusts of men, but after the will of God.

²¹ Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.

⁵⁰ For whoever doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.

³¹ Which of the two did the will of his father? They say, The first. Jesus saith to them, Truly do I say to you, that the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

³⁵ Whoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth evil thoughts, fornications,

¹³ who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

¹⁷ If any one is desirous to do his will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from myself.

² God forbid! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer in it?

¹¹ Thus do ye too consider yourselves as dead to sin, but alive to God, through Jesus Christ.

⁴ So then, my brethren, ye also were slain to the Law through the body of Christ, that ye might be connected with another, even with him who was raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit to God.

² and be not conformed to the fashion of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that ye may learn by experience what is the will of God, what is good, and wellpleasing, and perfect.

⁷ For none of us liveth to himself, and no one dieth to himself.

¹⁵ and he died for all, that they who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who died for their sakes, and rose again.

¹⁹ For I through the Law died to the Law, that I might live to God. ²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and no longer do I live, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

³ among whom even we all had our way of life in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath, even as others;

¹⁷ This therefore I say, and charge you in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind,

²² that as to your former way of life ye should put off the old man, who perisheth according to the lusts of deceit, ²³ and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and that ye put on the new man, who was created according to God in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

⁷ Be not therefore partakers with them. ⁸ For ye were once darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

¹⁷ Wherefore be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

⁶ not with eyeservice as menpleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

⁹ On this account we also, from the day we heard of it, cease not to pray for you, and to ask that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

⁷ In which things ye also once walked, when ye lived in them; ⁸ but now put ye away all these, anger, wrath, malice, evilspeaking, filthy language out of your mouth.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

¹⁸ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus in regard to you.

³ For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, going astray, slaves to divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love for men of God our Saviour appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the bath of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour, ⁷ that having been accepted as righteous by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of everlasting life. ⁸ True is the saying; and these things I desire that thou affirm earnestly, that they who have believed in God may be careful to practise good works. These things are good and profitable to men;

²¹ make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, doing in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever. Amen.

¹⁸ Of his own will he begot us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance;

¹ Laying aside therefore all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all slander,

¹⁴ or to governors, as being sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and the praise of those who do well. ¹⁵ For so is the will of God, that with welldoing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
