²³ And in that day ye will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly do I say to you, Whatever ye shall ask the Father, he will give it you in my name.

⁷ Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and ye will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

²² And all things whatever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye will receive.

³⁶ Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, whither dost thou go? Jesus answered, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou wilt follow me afterward. ³⁷ Peter saith to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee.

⁵ Thomas saith to him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how then do we know the way?

¹³ and whatever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do; that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

²⁰ In that day ye will know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

²² Judas, not Iscariot, saith to him, And how is it, Lord, that thou art going to manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?

¹⁹ Jesus knew that they were desirous of asking him, and said to them, Is it of this that ye are inquiring of one another, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye will See me?

²⁶ In that day ye will ask in my name; and I do not tell you that I will pray the Father for you;

³⁰ Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any one should ask thee; by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

¹⁴ For this cause I bend my knees to the Father, ¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and on earth receiveth its name, ¹⁶ that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, ye having been rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ that ye may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fullness of God. ²⁰ Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

⁵ For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, ⁶ who gave himself a ransom for all; to which the testimony was to be borne in its own due times,

¹⁴ Since, then, we have a great highpriest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ¹⁵ For we have not a highpriest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who hath in all points been tempted as we are, without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

²⁵ wherefore he is able also to save to the utmost those who come to God through him, since he ever liveth to make intercession for them. ²⁶ For such a highpriest also became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness for entrance into the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ a new and living way, which he consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, his flesh, ²¹ and having a great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience; and having had our bodies washed with pure water, ²³ let us hold fast the profession of our hope without wavering, for he is faithful who promised;

¹ My children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin. And if any one have sinned, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us; ¹⁵ and if we know that he heareth us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of him. ¹⁶ If any one see his brother sin a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and shall give him life,to those who sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death; for that I do not say that he shall pray.
