²⁰ Go, stand in the temple and declare to the people all the words of this life.

²³ And when he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority are you doing these things? and who gave you this authority?

⁶³ The spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing: the words I speak to you are spirit and life.

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have the words of eternal life.

⁵⁰ And I know that his commandment is life eternal: therefore, whatever I speak, I speak as the Father has bidden me.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

⁸ For I have given to them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came from you, and they have believed that you did send me.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I always taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews all come together; and I said nothing in secret.

¹⁴ Who shall give you a message, by which you and all your household shall be saved.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life; ² (For the life was revealed, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us;) ³ That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
