²⁷ And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem to worship,

⁴² The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the remotest parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, one greater than Solomon is here.

² Saying to them, Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you shall find a donkey tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them to me. ³ And if any man says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord has need of them; and immediately he will send them. ⁴ All this was done, that what was spoken by the prophet might be fulfilled, ⁵ Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes to you, meek, and sitting upon a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. ⁶ And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

¹³ And he sent two of his disciples, and said to them, Go into the city, and there you shall meet a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him. ¹⁴ And wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, The Teacher says, Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? ¹⁵ And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready: make preparations for us there. ¹⁶ And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found it as he had said to them: and they made the passover ready.

⁵ His mother said to the servants, Whatever he says to you, do it. ⁶ Now there were six waterpots of stone set there, for the Jewish custom of purification, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. ⁷ Jesus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. ⁸ And he said to them, Now draw some out, and take it to the steward of the feast. So they took it.

²⁰ And there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast:

⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out to a place which he should later receive as an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he was to go.
