⁵ Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ to them.

⁵ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Do not go among the Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans: ⁶ But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

²⁵ The woman said to him, I know that Messiah comes, who is called Christ: when he comes, he will tell us all things. ²⁶ Jesus said to her, I who speak to you am he.

⁸ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the remotest part of the earth.

⁴² And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease to teach and preach Jesus as the Christ.

⁵ And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch.

¹ And Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John: ¹⁵ Who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit:

³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at the same scripture, preached Jesus to him. ³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came to some water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what prevents me from being baptized?

⁴⁰ But Philip found himself at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.

²⁰ And immediately he preached Christ in the synagogues, saying that he is the Son of God.

² And Paul, as his manner was, went in to them, and for three sabbath days reasoned with them from the scriptures, ³ Explaining and proving, that Christ needed to suffer, and to rise again from the dead; and saying, this Jesus, whom I preach to you, is the Christ.

⁸ The next day we departed, and went to Caesarea: and we entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven; and stayed with him.

²³ But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness;

² For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

¹¹ For no other foundation can man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
