¹⁵ But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you are not consumed by one another.

³ For you are still fleshly: for while there is among you envy, and strife, are you not fleshly, and walking as mere men?

⁶ But brother goes to law against brother, and that before the unbelievers. ⁷ Now, it is utterly a defeat for you that you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather suffer the wrong? why do you not rather allow yourselves to be defrauded? ⁸ Instead, you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and you do this to your brethren.

²⁰ For you bear it if a man brings you into bondage, if a man devours you, if a man takes advantage of you, if a man exalts himself, if a man strikes you on the face.

²⁰ For I fear that when I come, I shall not find you as I wish, and you shall not find me to be as you wish; lest perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, rivalries, slander, gossip, conceit, disorder:

²⁶ Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.

² Beware of the dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilators of the flesh.

¹⁴ But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
