⁸ Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: therefore if you seek me, let these men go their way:

⁵⁶ But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

⁵⁰ And they all forsook him, and fled. ⁵¹ And a certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth wrapped around his naked body; and they laid hold on him: ⁵² But he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

²⁸ And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

³⁶ Simon Peter said to him, Lord, where are you going? Jesus answered him, Where I go, you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards.

³² Behold, the hour comes, yea, has now come, when you shall be scattered, every man to his own home, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to endure; but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

⁹ And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly will I boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her;

⁷ Casting all your anxiety upon him; for he cares for you.
