³³ But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

⁵ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Do not go among the Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans:

³³ Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?

¹³ And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Do not weep.

⁵² And sent messengers ahead of him: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. ⁵³ But they did not receive him, because his face was set to go to Jerusalem.

¹⁶ And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus answered, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? ¹⁸ Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner.

⁹ Then the woman of Samaria said to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

⁴⁸ Then the Jews answered and said to him, Do we not rightly say that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil?
