² And after six days Jesus took with him Peter, and James, and John, and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

¹³ When Jesus heard of it, he departed from there by boat privately into a solitary place: and when the people heard this, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

¹ And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up a high mountain where they were alone, ² And was transfigured before them: and his face shone like the sun, and his clothing was white as the light. ³ And, behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. ⁴ Then Peter answered, and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you wish, let us make three tabernacles here; one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁵ While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and a voice out of the cloud said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear him. ⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid. ⁷ And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and do not be afraid. ⁸ And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus only.

¹¹ And Jesus answered them, Elijah truly shall come first, and restore all things. ¹² But I say to you, That Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but have done to him whatever they pleased. Likewise shall the Son of man suffer at their hands. ¹³ Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptist.

³⁷ And he allowed no man to follow him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

³³ And he took with him Peter and James and John, and he began to be filled with horror and deeply troubled;

¹² After that he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

¹² And it came to pass in those days, that he went out to a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

²⁸ And it came to pass about eight days after these teachings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up on a mountain to pray. ²⁹ And as he prayed, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white. ³⁰ And, behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah: ³¹ Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, which he would accomplish at Jerusalem. ³² But Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep: but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him. ³³ And it came to pass, as the two men departed from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: let us make three shelters; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: but he did not know what he was saying. ³⁴ While he spoke, a cloud came and enveloped them: and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. ³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my Son, my Chosen: hear him. ³⁶ And when the voice had spoken, they found Jesus was alone. And they kept quiet, and told no one in those days any of those things which they had seen.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father,) full of grace and truth.

² And do not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect.

⁷ For if the ministry of death, written and engraved in stone, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance; and that glory fading: ⁸ Shall not the ministry of the spirit be even more glorious? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, far more does the ministry of righteousness exceed it in glory. ¹⁰ For even that which was glorious no longer has glory, because of the glory that surpasses it.

¹ This is the third time I am coming to you. By the mouths of two or three witnesses must every matter be established.

⁶ Who, though being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped: ⁷ But made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ⁸ And being found in form as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

²¹ Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself.

¹⁶ For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. ¹⁷ For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came a voice to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. ¹⁸ And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him on the holy mountain.

¹³ And in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like a Son of man, clothed with a garment down to his feet, and around his breast a golden girdle. ¹⁴ His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were like a flame of fire; ¹⁵ And his feet like burnished bronze, as if they glowed in a furnace; and his voice like the sound of many waters. ¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining at full strength. ¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as if dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear; I am the first and the last,

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and him who sat upon it, from whose face earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
