¹ And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, ² Down the middle of the street of the city. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits, and yielded its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. ³ And there shall no longer be any curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: ⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be upon their foreheads. ⁵ And there shall be no night there; and they shall need no lamp, nor light from the sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. ⁶ And he said to me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass. ⁷ Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book. ⁸ I, John, heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. ⁹ Then he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: worship God. ¹⁰ And he said to me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. ¹¹ He who is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he who is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he who is holy, let him be holy still. ¹² Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. ¹⁴ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. ¹⁵ Outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. ¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to testify of these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star. ¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life without cost. ¹⁸ For I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book: ¹⁹ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part in the tree of life, and in the holy city, which are described in this book. ²⁰ He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. ²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. Amen.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give me a drink; you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water. ¹¹ The woman said to him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from where do you get that living water?

¹⁴ But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into eternal life.

³⁸ He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. ³⁹ (But this he spoke of the Spirit, which those who believe in him were to receive: for the Holy Spirit had not yet been given; because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

¹⁶ And I will pray to the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; ¹⁷ That is the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see him, neither does it know him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. ¹⁸ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

²⁶ But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:

⁷ Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is for your good that I go away: for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you. ⁸ And when he has come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: ⁹ Of sin, because they do not believe in me; ¹⁰ Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you will see me no more; ¹¹ Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. ¹² I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. ¹³ Yet when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of his own accord; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. ¹⁴ He shall glorify me: for he shall take what is mine, and shall show it to you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father has are mine: therefore I said that he shall take what is mine, and shall show it to you.

⁴ And, while eating with them, commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, of which, he said, you have heard me speak. ⁵ For John baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

³³ Therefore, being exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured forth this, which you now see and hear.

²¹ To him who overcomes I will grant the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

⁵ And out of the throne came flashes of lightning and peals of thunder: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. ⁶ And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal: and in the center, around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind.

⁶ And then I beheld between the throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing as if it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be to him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever.

¹⁰ And cried out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

¹⁷ For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall lead them to the springs of the waters of life: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

⁶ And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him who is thirsty, without cost, from the spring of the water of life.

¹¹ Having the glory of God: and her radiance was like a stone most precious, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life without cost.

¹⁸ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

²⁴ He himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we might die to sins and live to righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes I will give the right to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each gate made of a single pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

²⁴ And the nations shall walk by its light: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it.

¹⁴ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

¹⁹ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part in the tree of life, and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

²¹ His lord said to him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.

⁴¹ Then he shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

²⁶ If any man serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant be also: if any man serves me, the Father will honour him.

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

²⁴ Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he who sits on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, nor shall they thirst any more; nor shall the sun beat upon them, nor shall any scorching heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall lead them to the springs of the waters of life: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

³ And I heard a great voice from the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall live among them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. ⁴ And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain: for the former things have passed away.

²² And I saw no temple in it: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ²³ And the city had no need of the sun, or the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God is its light, and the Lamb its lamp.

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

¹² For now we see in a mirror dimly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

¹⁴ Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

² Beloved, now we are the sons of God; and what we shall be has not yet been disclosed: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. ³ And every man who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

¹² He who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall never go out of it: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will also write upon him my new name.

³ Saying, Do not hurt the earth, or the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.

¹ And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

³⁴ Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

¹⁷ For if by one man's offence death reigned through that one; much more shall those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

¹² If we endure, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he will deny us:

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ To an imperishable and undefiled inheritance, that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.

²³ And the light of a lamp shall never shine in you again; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall never be heard in you again: your merchants were the great men of the earth; and by your sorceries all nations were deceived.

⁴ And I saw thrones, on which were seated those to whom judgment had been given: and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness for Jesus, and for the word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast, nor his image, nor had they received his mark upon their foreheads, or on their hands; and they lived again and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

²² And I saw no temple in it: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ²³ And the city had no need of the sun, or the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God is its light, and the Lamb its lamp. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk by its light: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it. ²⁵ And its gates shall never be shut by day: and there shall be no night there.

⁴¹ The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and those who do iniquity;

⁷⁰ As he spoke by the mouths of his holy prophets, from long ago:

¹⁶ The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man forces his way into it.

¹⁸ But those things which God foretold by the mouths of all his prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he has fulfilled.

¹¹ And when Peter had come to himself, he said, Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent his angel, and has delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.

² (Which he promised beforehand by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

²⁹ But this I say, brethren, the time is short: from now on let those who have wives be as though they had none;

³² And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

⁷ And to give rest to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

⁹ Furthermore, we have had earthly fathers who corrected us, and we gave them respect: shall we not much more be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?

¹¹ Seeking to find to whom and when the Spirit of Christ within them was pointing, when he testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow. ¹² It was revealed to them that they did not serve themselves, but you, in the things which have now been made known to you by those who preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things into which angels desire to look.

²¹ For prophecy did not come in times of old by the will of man: but holy men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

² That you may recall the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandment of the Lord and Saviour given through your apostles:

⁸ But, beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. ⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some men count slowness; but is patient toward you, not wanting that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent his angel to make it known to his servant John:

²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets; for God has judged her for what she did to you.

⁹ And he said to me, Write, Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true words of God.

⁵ And he who sits upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are faithful and true.

⁷ Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.

³ Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and heed those things which are written in it: for the time is at hand.

¹¹ Behold, I come quickly: hold fast to that which you have, that no man may take your crown.

¹⁵ Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake, and keeps his garments with him, lest he walk naked and ashamed for all to see.

⁹ Then he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: worship God. ¹⁰ And he said to me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

¹² Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done.

²⁰ He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat upon the horse, and against his army.

⁹ And said to him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me.

⁷ Therefore if you will worship me, it shall all be yours.

²² You do not know what you worship: we know what we worship: for salvation is from the Jews. ²³ But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.

¹⁸ Let no man defraud you of your reward, delighting in self-abasement and the worship of angels, taking his stand on visions, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ And not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, supported and knit together by its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

¹⁰ The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

²⁰ And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, still did not repent of the works of their hands; they did not stop worshipping devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wood: which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk:

⁷ Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come: and worship him who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the springs of water.

⁴ Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you alone are holy: all nations shall come and worship before you; for your righteous acts have been revealed.

¹⁰ And he said to me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

¹⁸ For I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add to these things, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book:

²⁷ What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light: and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.

¹² The night is far gone, the day is at hand: therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

³ Let no man deceive you in any way: for that day shall not come, until there is first a falling away, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition;

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: therefore be of sound mind and sober judgement for prayer.

¹ And I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll, with writing inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.

⁴ And when the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them.

¹² Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to testify of these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.

⁶ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they shall be filled.

¹⁴ Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

¹⁹ And when he saw a fig tree by the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves, and he said to it, Let no fruit grow on you ever again. And at once the fig tree withered away.

¹⁰ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut.

²¹ Then Jesus said again to them, I go my way, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, you cannot come.

²⁷ That he might present her to himself a glorious church, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that she should be holy and without blemish.

²² He has now reconciled in his body of flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable in his sight:

¹³ But evil men and impostors shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

²⁴ Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceedingly great joy,

¹³ And one of the elders addressed me, saying, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? and from where did they come? ¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he who sits on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.

⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given power to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues: and they did not repent and give him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was filled with darkness; and they gnawed their tongues in pain, ¹¹ And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

²¹ And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail; for the plague was exceedingly great.

³ And there shall no longer be any curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

²⁷ For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

⁶ Who will render to every man according to his deeds: ⁷ To those who by patience in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: ⁸ But to those who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. ⁹ There shall be tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who does evil, first for the Jew, and also for the Greek; ¹⁰ But glory, honour, and peace for every man who does good works, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek: ¹¹ For there is no partiality with God.

¹² So then, every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.

⁸ Now he who plants and he who waters are equal: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

¹⁴ If any man's work remains, which he has built upon it, he shall receive a reward.

¹⁷ If I do this willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a commission has been entrusted to me. ¹⁸ What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, not taking advantage of my rights in the gospel.

¹⁸ The nations raged, and your wrath came; and the time came for the dead to be judged, and to reward your servants the prophets, and the saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great; and to destroy those who destroy the earth.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ Saying, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as if dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear; I am the first and the last,

²¹ Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. ²² Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name cast out devils? and in your name done many miracles? ²³ And then I will declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you who work iniquity. ²⁴ Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine, and does them, will be like a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: for it was founded upon a rock. ²⁶ And every one who hears these words of mine, and does not do them, is like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: ²⁷ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

³⁷ Blessed are those servants, whom the lord shall find watching when he comes: truly I say to you, that he shall dress himself to serve, and make them sit down at the table, and will come forth and serve them. ³⁸ And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

¹² Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his children, and his cattle?

⁷ Then Jesus said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

⁹ I am the door: if any man enters by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

¹⁵ If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

²¹ He who has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is who loves me: and he who loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. ²² Judas, not Iscariot, said to him, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.

¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. ¹¹ These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. ¹² This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ You are my friends, if you do what I command you.

¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping of the commandments of God is what matters.

⁹ But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.

⁵ Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; but faith which works through love.

³ And every man who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

²³ And this is his commandment, That we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he commanded us. ²⁴ And he who keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.

¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹² It had a great and high wall, and twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.

²⁷ But nothing impure shall enter into it, nor shall any man who commits shameful acts, or who lies: but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

² Down the middle of the street of the city. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits, and yielded its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

¹² But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast into the outer darkness: where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

¹⁸ He who believes in him is not condemned: but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. ²¹ But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be shown to have been done through God.

⁴⁶ Which of you convicts me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe me?

¹¹ And they gave heed to him, because for so long he had amazed them with sorceries.

⁶ And when they had gone through the whole island and had come to Paphos, they found a certain Jewish sorcerer, a false prophet, whose name was Bar-Jesus: ⁷ Who was with the proconsul of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. ⁸ But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name translated) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. ⁹ Then Saul, (who is also called Paul,) filled with the Holy Spirit, set his eyes upon him, ¹⁰ And said, You who are full of all deceit and all villainy, you child of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? ¹¹ And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately there fell upon him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexual offenders, ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are obvious; they are; sexual immorality, impurity, licentiousness, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, fits of rage, selfishness, dissensions, factions, ²¹ Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like: of which I forewarn you, as I have also warned you in the past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

³ But sexual immorality, and all impurity, or covetousness, must not even be named among you, as is befitting saints; ⁴ Nor let there be filthiness, or foolish talk, or coarse jesting, which are not proper: but rather giving of thanks. ⁵ For this you know: that no sexually immoral or impure person, or covetous man, (for such a man is an idolater,) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ⁶ Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

² Beware of the dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilators of the flesh.

⁶ For because of these things the wrath of God is coming:

¹⁰ And with all wicked deception for those who perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this reason God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹² That all those might be condemned who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in unrighteousness.

²⁰ And the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, still did not repent of the works of their hands; they did not stop worshipping devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wood: which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk: ²¹ Nor did they repent of their murders, or of their sorceries, or of their sexual immorality, or of their thefts.

¹ Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, came and spoke to me, saying, Come here; I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits upon many waters. ² With her the kings of the earth have committed acts of adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her adulteries. ³ So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet coloured beast, which was full of names of blasphemy, and had seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and of the filthiness of her adulteries: ⁵ And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. ⁶ And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered greatly.

⁸ But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and the vile, and murderers, and the sexually immoral, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur: which is the second death.

⁷ Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, ascertained from them at what time the star appeared. ⁸ And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the child; and when you have found him, bring me word, that I may come and worship him also. ⁹ When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, until it came and stood over where the child was. ¹⁰ When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.

⁴² What do you think of the Christ? whose son is he? They said to him, The Son of David.

⁴⁵ If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?

⁷⁸ Through the tender mercy of our God, the sunrise from on high will visit us,

³ Concerning his Son, who was born a descendant of David according to the flesh; ⁴ And through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by the resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord,

⁵ To them belong the fathers, and from them, according to the flesh, came Christ, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

¹⁹ And so we have the word of prophecy made more certain; to which you would do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;

¹¹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

¹⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except him who receives it.

¹¹ He who is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he who is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he who is holy, let him be holy still.

³⁹ He said to them, Come and see. They came and saw where he was staying, and remained with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. ⁴⁰ One of the two who heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. ⁴¹ He first found his brother Simon, and said to him, We have found the Messiah, which translated means Christ. ⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus saw him, he said, You are Simon the son of John: you shall be called Cephas, which translated means, Peter. ⁴³ The day following Jesus decided to go forth into Galilee; and he found Philip, and said to him, Follow me. ⁴⁴ Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. ⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote about, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. ⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give me a drink; you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

²⁹ Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did: is this not the Christ?

³⁷ On the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink.

²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.

⁵ For our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with full conviction. You know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. ⁶ And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word despite much affliction, with joy from the Holy Spirit: ⁷ So that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia. ⁸ For from you the word of the Lord sounded out not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has spread abroad; so that we need not speak anything.

² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

⁹ And there came to me one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, and spoke to me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

⁶ Then he is free not to honour his father or his mother. Thus have you made the commandment of God void by your tradition. ⁷ You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ⁸ This people honours me with their lips; but their hearts are far from me. ⁹ But in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

¹³ But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.

¹⁷ This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in the futility of their minds,

⁶ That no man might transgress and defraud his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, as we also have told you and warned you.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

¹⁰ He shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out at full strength into the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, or who receive the mark of his name.

¹ And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for with them the wrath of God is completed.

⁶ And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. ⁷ And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. ⁸ And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter the temple, until the seven plagues of the seven angels were ended.

⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for such is their due. ⁷ And I heard the altar say, Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments. ⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given power to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues: and they did not repent and give him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was filled with darkness; and they gnawed their tongues in pain, ¹¹ And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. ¹² And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way for the kings of the east might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are the spirits of devils, working miraculous signs, who go forth to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for battle on the great day of God Almighty. ¹⁵ Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake, and keeps his garments with him, lest he walk naked and ashamed for all to see. ¹⁶ And they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon. ¹⁷ And the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done. ¹⁸ And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as had never been since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake it was, and so great. ¹⁹ And the great city was broken into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and God remembered Babylon the great, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. ²⁰ And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. ²¹ And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail; for the plague was exceedingly great.

²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed miraculous signs in his presence, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. They were both cast alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur.

¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹⁵ And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

⁵² Woe to you, lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge: you did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.

¹⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except him who receives it. ¹⁸ And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These are the words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bonze;

²⁶ And he who overcomes, and does my will to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations;

⁴ Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. ⁵ He who overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white garments; and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

⁹ After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, from all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands; ¹⁰ And cried out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, ¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen. ¹³ And one of the elders addressed me, saying, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? and from where did they come? ¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁸ And all who live upon the earth shall worship him, every one whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow them.

²² And I saw no temple in it: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ²³ And the city had no need of the sun, or the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God is its light, and the Lamb its lamp. ²⁴ And the nations shall walk by its light: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it. ²⁵ And its gates shall never be shut by day: and there shall be no night there. ²⁶ And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. ²⁷ But nothing impure shall enter into it, nor shall any man who commits shameful acts, or who lies: but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

²⁵ And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if every one of them were to be written, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

²² If any man does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come.

⁸ Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.

²⁸ So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many; shall appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring full salvation to those who eagerly await him.

¹² Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens shall be dissolved in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. ¹³ But we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. ¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent that you may be found at peace with him, without spot, and blameless.

² Who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.

¹⁸ The one who lives; I was dead, and, behold, I am alive forevermore, and possess the keys of death and of Hades.

⁷ To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

²³ Gaius, host to me and the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, and our brother Quartus, greet you.
