²⁵ At that time Jesus answering said, 'I do confess to You, Father, Lord of the heavens and of the earth, that you did hide these things from wise and understanding ones, and did reveal them to babes.

¹⁹ for those days shall be tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created, till now, and may not be;

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God; ² this one was in the beginning with God; ³ all things through him did happen, and without him happened not even one thing that has happened.

²⁴ and they having heard, with one accord did lift up the voice unto God, and said, 'Lord, you art God, who did make the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all that are in them,

¹⁵ and saying, 'Men, why these things do you? and we are men like-affected with you, proclaiming good news to you, from these vanities to turn unto the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all the things in them;

²⁴ 'God, who did make the world, and all things in it, this One, of heaven and of earth being Lord, in temples made with hands does not dwell,

¹⁹ Because that which is known of God is manifest among them, for God did manifest it to them, ²⁰ for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, by the things made being understood, are plainly seen, both His eternal power and Godhead -- to their being inexcusable;

³⁶ because of Him, and through Him, and to Him are the all things; to Him is the glory -- to the ages. Amen.

⁶ yet to us is one God, the Father, of whom are the all things, and we to Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are the all things, and we through Him;

⁹ and to cause all to see what is the fellowship\'7bMT reads "administration"\'7d of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who the all things did create by Jesus Christ,

¹⁶ because in him were the all things created, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all thing s through him, and for him, have been created, ¹⁷ and himself is before all, and the all things in him have consisted.

² in these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages;

¹⁰ and, 'You, at the beginning, Lord, the earth did found, and a work of your hands are the heavens;

⁴ for every house is builded by some one, and He who the all things did build is God,

³ by faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen not having come out of things appearing;

⁵ for this is unobserved by them willingly, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of water and through water standing together by the word of God,

¹ That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we did behold, and our hands did handle, concerning the Word of the Life --

¹⁴ 'And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things says the Amen, the witness -- the faithful and true -- the chief of the creation of God;

¹¹ 'Worthy are You, O Lord, to receive the glory, and the honour, and the power, because You -- You did create the all things, and because of Your will are they, and they were created.'

⁶ and did swear in Him who does live to the ages of the ages, who did create the heaven and the things in it, and the land and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it -- that time shall not be yet,

⁷ saying in a great voice, 'Fear you God, and give to Him glory, because come did the hour of His judgment, and bow you before Him who did make the heaven, and the land, and sea, and fountains of waters.'

⁶ and He said to me, 'It has been done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; I, to him who is thirsting, will give of the fountain of the water of the life freely;

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega -- the Beginning and End -- the First and the Last.

³ and having stretched forth the hand, Jesus touched him, saying, 'I will, be you cleansed,' and immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

⁵ and the light in the darkness did shine, and the darkness did not perceive it.

⁹ He was the true Light, which does enlighten every man, coming to the world;

¹⁹ 'And this is the judgment, that the light has come to the world, and men did love the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil;

⁴³ And these things saying, with a loud voice he cried out, 'Lazarus, come forth;'

⁶ because it is God who said, Out of darkness light is to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁸ for you were once darkness, and now light in the Lord; as children of light walk you,

¹⁴ wherefore he says, 'Arouse yourself, you who are sleeping, and arise out of the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon you.'

¹⁶ who only is having immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable, whom no one of men did see, nor is able to see, to whom is honour and might age-during! Amen.

⁵ And this is the message that we have heard from Him, and announce to you, that God is light, and darkness in Him is not at all;

⁸ again, a new command I write to you, which thing is true in him and in you, because the darkness does pass away, and the true light does now shine;

¹³ of each the work shall become manifest, for the day shall declare it, because in fire it is revealed, and the work of each, what kind it is, the fire shall prove;

¹³ and all the things reproved\'7bexposed\'7d by the light are manifested\'7bmade clear, plain\'7d, for everything that is manifested\'7bmade clear, plain\'7d is light;

⁵ all you are sons of light, and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness,

²⁷ and the men wondered, saying, 'What kind -- is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?'

¹⁰ and now also, the axe unto the root of the trees is laid, every tree therefore not bearing good fruit is hewn down, and to fire is cast.

³⁰ 'And if the herb of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast to the furnace, God does so clothe -- not much more you, O you of little faith?

¹⁶ From their fruits you shall know them; do men gather from thorns grapes? Or from thistles figs? ¹⁷ So every good tree does yield good fruits, but the bad tree does yield evil fruits. ¹⁸ A good tree is not able to yield evil fruits, nor a bad tree to yield good fruits. ¹⁹ Every tree not yielding good fruit is cut down and is cast to fire: ²⁰ therefore from their fruits you shall know them.

²⁸ for of itself does the earth bear fruit, first a blade, afterwards an ear, afterwards full corn in the ear;

⁴³ 'For there is not a good tree making bad fruit, nor a bad tree making good fruit; ⁴⁴ for each tree from its own fruit is known, for not from thorns do they gather figs, nor from a bramble do they crop a grape.

⁷ For earth, that is drinking in the rain many times coming upon it, and is bringing forth herbs fit for those because of whom also it is dressed, does partake of blessing from God,

¹² is a fig-tree able, my brethren, olives to make? or a vine figs? so no fountain salt and sweet water is able to make.

²⁴ Another simile he set before them, saying: 'The reign of the heavens was likened to a man sowing good seed in his field, ²⁵ and, while men are sleeping, his enemy came and sowed darnel in the midst of the wheat, and went away, ²⁶ and when the herb sprang up, and yielded fruit, then appeared also the darnel.

⁴⁴ for each tree from its own fruit is known, for not from thorns do they gather figs, nor from a bramble do they crop a grape.

¹⁰ and may He who is supplying seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

⁷ Be not led astray; God is not mocked; for what a man may sow -- that also he shall reap,

² saying, 'Where is he who was born king of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and we came to bow to him.'

² and he answering said to them, 'Evening having come, you say, Fair weather, for the heaven is red, ³ and at morning, Foul weather to-day, for the heaven is red -- gloomy; hypocrites, the face of the heavens indeed you do know to discern, but the signs of the times you are not able!

²⁹ 'And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;

²⁴ 'But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

²⁵ 'And there shall be signs in sun, and moon, and stars, and on the land is distress of nations with perplexity, sea and billow roaring; ²⁶ men fainting at heart from fear, and expectation of the things coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

⁴⁵ and the sun was darkened, and the vail of the sanctuary was rent in the midst,

¹⁹ and I will give wonders in the heaven above, and signs upon the earth beneath -- blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke, ²⁰ the sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the day of the Lord -- the great and illustrious;

¹² And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and lo, a great earthquake came, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.

¹² And the fourth messenger did sound, and smitten was the third of the sun, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that darkened may be the third of them, and that the day may not shine -- the third of it, and the night in like manner.

² and he did open the pit of the abyss, and there came up a smoke out of the pit as smoke of a great furnace, and darkened was the sun and the air, from the smoke of the pit.

⁴⁵ And from the sixth hour darkness came over all the land unto the ninth hour,

⁴¹ one glory of sun, and another glory of moon, and another glory of stars, for star from star does differ in glory.

⁸ And the fourth messenger did pour out his vial upon the sun, and there was given to him to scorch men with fire, ⁹ and men were scorched with great heat, and they did speak evil of the name of God, who has authority over these plagues, and they did not reform -- to give to Him glory.

²³ and the city has no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they may shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp of it is the Lamb;

⁴⁷ for so has the Lord commanded us: I have set you for a light of nations -- for your being for salvation unto the end of the earth.'

²⁵ neither by the hands of men is He served -- needing anything, He giving to all life, and breath, and all things;

⁴⁰ for, as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights, so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered them, 'My Father till now does work, and I work;'

²³ Jesus answered and said to him, 'If any one may love me, my word he will keep, and my Father will love him, and unto him we will come, and abode with him we will make;

²⁰ for certain strange things you do bring to our ears? we wish, then, to know what these things would wish to be;'

²⁶ He made also of one blood every nation of men, to dwell upon all the face of the earth -- having ordained times before appointed, and the bounds of their dwellings --

²⁸ for in Him we live, and move, and are; as also certain of your poets have said: For of Him also we are offspring. ²⁹ 'Being, therefore, offspring of God, we ought not to think the Godhead to be like to gold, or silver, or stone, graving of art and device of man;

⁷ for a man, indeed, ought not to cover the head, being the image and glory of God, and a woman is the glory of a man,

¹⁸ and we all, with unveiled face, the glory of the Lord beholding in a mirror, to the same image are being transformed, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

⁴ in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there does not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God;

²⁴ and to put on the new man, which, according to God, was created in righteousness and kindness of the truth.

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, first-born of all creation,

¹⁰ and having put on the new, which is renewed in regard to knowledge, after the image of Him who did create him;

⁶ and one in a certain place did testify fully, saying, 'What is man, that You are mindful of him, or a son of man, that You do look after him? ⁷ You did make him some little less than messengers, with glory and honour You did crown him, and did set him over the works of Your hands, ⁸ all things You did put in subjection under his feet,' for in the subjecting to him the all things, nothing did He leave to him unsubjected, and now not yet do we see the all things subjected to him, ⁹ and him who was made some little less than messengers we see -- Jesus -- because of the suffering of the death, with glory and honour having been crowned, that by the grace of God for every one he might taste of death.

⁷ For every nature, both of beasts and of fowls, both of creeping things and things of the sea, is subdued, and has been subdued, by the human nature,

⁹ with it we do bless the God and Father, and with it we do curse the men made according to the similitude of God;

⁷ because three are who are testifying in the heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these -- the three -- are one;

⁴ And he answering said to them, 'Did you not read, that He who made them, from the beginning a male and a female made them,

⁶ but from the beginning of the creation, a male and a female God did make them;

⁷ for a man, indeed, ought not to cover the head, being the image and glory of God, and a woman is the glory of a man, ⁸ for a man is not of a woman, but a woman is of a man, ⁹ for a man also was not created because of the woman, but a woman because of the man;

¹⁰ for of Him we are workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God did before prepare, that in them we may walk.

²⁶ the secret that has been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was manifested to his saints,

³ forbidding to marry -- to abstain from meats that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those believing and acknowledging the truth,

¹¹ 'Our appointed bread give us to-day.

²⁵ 'Because of this I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what you may eat, and what you may drink, nor for your body, what you may put on. Is not the life more than the nourishment, and the body than the clothing? ²⁶ Look to the fowls of the heaven, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into storehouses, and your heavenly Father does nourish them; are not you much better than they?

¹⁷ though, indeed, without witness He did not leave himself, doing good -- from heaven giving rains to us, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness;'

²⁴ 'God, who did make the world, and all things in it, this One, of heaven and of earth being Lord, in temples made with hands does not dwell, ²⁵ neither by the hands of men is He served -- needing anything, He giving to all life, and breath, and all things;

²⁸ for in Him we live, and move, and are; as also certain of your poets have said: For of Him also we are offspring.

¹⁷ Those rich in the present age charge you not to be high-minded, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who is giving to us all things richly for enjoyment; --

⁴ because every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, with thanksgiving being received,
