Romans 8 Cross References - RYLT

1 There is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit; 2 for the law of the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus did set me free from the law of the sin and of the death; 3 for what the law was not able to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, His own Son having sent in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, did condemn the sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh, the things of the flesh do mind; and those according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit; 6 for the mind of the flesh is death, and the mind of the Spirit -- life and peace; 7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity to God, for to the law of God it does not subject itself, 8 for neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God. 9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God does dwell in you; and if any one has not the Spirit of Christ -- this one is not His; 10 and if Christ is in you, the body, indeed, is dead because of sin, and the Spirit is life because of righteousness, 11 and if the Spirit of Him who did raise up Jesus out of the dead does dwell in you, He who did raise up the Christ out of the dead shall quicken also your dying bodies, through His Spirit dwelling in you. 12 So, then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh; 13 for if according to the flesh you do live, you are about to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds of the body you put to death, you shall live; 14 for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God; 15 for you did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but you did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, 'Abba -- Father.' 16 The Spirit himself does testify with our spirit, that we are children of God; 17 and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ -- if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory about to be revealed in us; 19 for the earnest looking out of the creation does expect the revelation of the sons of God; 20 for to vanity was the creation made subject -- not of its will, but because of Him who did subject it -- in hope, 21 that also the creation itself shall be set free from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the children of God; 22 for we have known that all the creation does groan together, and does travail in pain together till now. 23 And not only so, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting -- the redemption of our body; 24 for in hope we were saved, and hope beheld is not hope; for what any one does behold, why also does he hope for it? 25 and if what we do not behold we hope for, through continuance we expect it. 26 And, in like manner also, the Spirit does help our weaknesses; for, what we may pray for, as it behooves us, we have not known, but the Spirit himself does make intercession for us with groanings unutterable, 27 and He who is searching the hearts has known what is the mind of the Spirit, because according to God he does intercede for saints. 28 And we have known that to those loving God all things do work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose; 29 because whom He did foreknow, He also did fore-appoint, conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be first-born among many brethren; 30 and whom He did fore-appoint, these also He did call; and whom He did call, these also He declared righteous; and whom He declared righteous, these also He did glorify. 31 What, then, shall we say unto these things? if God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who indeed His own Son did not spare, but for us all did deliver him up, how shall He not also with him the all things grant to us? 33 Who shall lay a charge against the choice ones of God? God is He that is declaring righteous, 34 who is he that is condemning? Christ is He that died, yea, rather also, was raised up; who is also on the right hand of God -- who also does intercede for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of the Christ? tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 (according as it has been written -- 'For Your sake we are put to death all the day long, we were reckoned as sheep of slaughter,') 37 but in all these we more than conquer, through him who loved us; 38 for I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor messengers, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, 39 nor things about to be, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 For the law having a shadow of the coming good things -- not the very image of the matters, every year, by the same sacrifices that they offer continually, is never able to make perfect those coming near, 2 since, would they not have ceased to be offered, because of those serving having no more conscience of sins, having once been purified? 3 but in those sacrifices is a remembrance of sins every year, 4 for it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 Therefore, coming into the world, he said, 'Sacrifice and offering You did not will, and a body You did prepare for me, 6 in burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offerings, You did not delight, 7 then I said, Lo, I come, (in a volume of the book it has been written concerning me,) to do, O God, Your will;' 8 saying above -- 'Sacrifice, and offering, and burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offering You did not will, nor delight in,' -- which according to the law are offered -- 9 then he said, 'Lo, I come to do, O God, Your will;' he does take away the first that the second he may establish; 10 in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once,

2 let it not be! we who died to the sin -- how shall we still live in it? 3 are you ignorant that we, as many as were baptized to Christ Jesus, to his death were baptized? 4 we were buried together, then, with him through the baptism to the death, that even as Christ was raised up out of the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we in newness of life might walk. 5 For, if we have become planted together to the likeness of his death, so also we shall be of the rising again; 6 this knowing, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of the sin may be made useless, for our no longer serving the sin; 7 for he who has died has been set free from the sin. 8 And if we died with Christ, we believe that we also shall live with him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised up out of the dead, does no more die, death over him has no more lordship; 10 for in that he died, to the sin he died once, and in that he lives, he lives to God; 11 so also you, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to the sin, and living to God in Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not then the sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires; 13 neither present you your members instruments of unrighteousness to the sin, but present yourselves to God as living out of the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God; 14 for sin over you shall not have lordship, for you are not under law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? let it not be!

10 in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once, 11 and every priest, indeed, has stood daily serving, and the same sacrifices many times offering, that are never able to take away sins. 12 And He, for sin one sacrifice having offered -- to the end, did sit down on the right hand of God, -- 13 as to the rest, expecting till He may place his enemies as his footstool, 14 for by one offering he has perfected to the end those sanctified;

Hebrews 10:19-22

19 Having, therefore, brethren, boldness for the entrance into the holy places, in the blood of Jesus, 20 which way he did initiate for us -- new and living, through the vail, that is, his flesh -- 21 and a high priest over the house of God, 22 may we draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having the hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having the body bathed with pure water;

Hebrews 12:1-2

1 Therefore, we also having so great a cloud of witnesses set around us, every weight having put off, and the closely besetting sin, through endurance may we run the contest that is set before us, 2 looking to the author and perfecter of faith -- Jesus, who, over-against the joy set before him -- did endure a cross, shame having despised, on the right hand also of the throne of God did sit down;

22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone on to heaven -- messengers, and authorities, and powers, having been subjected to him.

1 John 2:1-2

1 My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin: and if any one may sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one, 2 and he -- he is a propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world,

And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father; 30 and of you -- even the hairs of the head are all numbered; 31 be not therefore afraid, than many sparrows you are better.

Luke 21:12-18

12 and before all these, they shall lay on you their hands, and persecute, delivering up to synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors for my name's sake; 13 and it shall become to you for a testimony. 14 'Settle, then, to your hearts, not to meditate beforehand to reply, 15 for I will give to you a mouth and wisdom that all your opposers shall not be able to refute or resist. 16 'And you shall be delivered up also by parents, and brothers, and kindred, and friends, and they shall put of you to death; 17 and you shall be hated by all because of my name -- 18 and a hair out of your head shall not perish;

33 these things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace, in the world you shall have tribulation, but take courage -- I have overcome the world.'

Acts 20:23-24

23 save that the Holy Spirit in every city does testify fully, saying, that for me bonds and tribulations remain; 24 but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministration that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify fully the good news of the grace of God.

4 but in everything recommending ourselves as God's ministrants; in much patience, in tribulations, in necessities, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in insurrections, in labours, in watchings, in fastings, 6 in pureness, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in love unfeigned, 7 in the word of truth, in the power of God, through the armour of the righteousness, on the right and on the left, 8 through glory and dishonour, through evil report and good report, as leading astray, and true; 9 as unknown, and recognized; as dying, and lo, we live; as chastened, and not put to death; 10 as sorrowful, and always rejoicing; as poor, and making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 11:23-27

23 ministrants of Christ are they? -- as beside myself I speak -- I more; in labours more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths many times; 24 from Jews five times forty stripes save one I did receive; 25 thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice was I shipwrecked, a night and a day in the deep I have passed; 26 journeyings many times, perils of rivers, perils of robbers, perils from kindred, perils from nations, perils in city, perils in wilderness, perils in sea, perils among false brethren; 27 in laboriousness and painfulness, in watchings many times, in hunger and thirst, in fastings many times, in cold and nakedness;

12 for which cause also these things I suffer, but I am not ashamed, for I have known in whom I have believed, and have been persuaded that he is able that which I have committed to him to guard -- to that day.

2 Timothy 4:16-18

16 in my first defence no one stood with me, but all forsook me, (may it not be reckoned to them!) 17 and the Lord stood by me, and did strengthen me, that through me the preaching might be fully assured, and all the nations might hear, and I was freed out of the mouth of a lion, 18 and the Lord shall free me from every evil work, and shall save me -- to his heavenly kingdom; to whom is the glory to the ages of the ages! Amen.

Hebrews 12:3-11

3 for consider again him who endured such gainsaying from the sinners to himself, that you may not be wearied in your souls -- being faint. 4 Not yet unto blood did you resist -- with the sin striving; 5 and you have forgotten the exhortation that does speak fully with you as with sons, 'My son, be not despising chastening of the Lord, nor be faint, being reproved by Him, 6 for whom the Lord does love He does chasten, and He scourges every son whom He receives;' 7 if chastening you endure, as to sons God bears Himself to you, for who is a son whom a father does not chasten? 8 and if you are apart from chastening, of which all have become partakers, then bastards are you, and not sons. 9 Then, indeed, fathers of our flesh we have had, chastising us, and we were reverencing them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of the spirits, and live? 10 for they, indeed, for a few days, according to what seemed good to them, were chastening, but He for profit, to be partakers of His separation; 11 and all chastening for the present, indeed, does not seem to be of joy, but of sorrow, yet afterward the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those exercised through it -- it does yield.
