¹² I have still many things to tell you; but you cannot bear them now.

³³ With many such illustrations he went on talking to them as they were able to listen;

¹⁵ I no longer call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I call you friends, for all that I have heard from the Father I have made known to you.

³ By many proofs he revealed himself to these men as still alive after his sufferings; for he was seen by them for forty days and spoke of things relating to the kingdom of God.

¹ AND I myself, brethren, could not speak to you as spiritual, but as fleshly, as babes in Christ. ² I fed you with milk, not solid food. For you were not able to take it. Nor are you yet able, for you are still fleshly.

¹¹ Regarding Melchizedek we have much to say that is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. ¹² For when, considering the time, you ought to be teachers you need to have some one teach you again the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk and not solid food. ¹³ For every one who takes milk is inexperienced in the doctrine of righteousness, for he is a child. ¹⁴ But solid food is for adults who through practice have their senses exercised in distinguishing good and bad.
