¹ Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. ² Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. ³ And every man that has this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He is pure. ⁴ Whoever commits sin also transgresses the law: For sin is the transgression of the law. ⁵ And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. ⁶ Whoever abides in Him does not sin: Whoever sins has not seen Him, neither known Him. ⁷ Little children, let no man deceive you: He that does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. ⁸ He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: And he cannot sin, because he is born of God. ¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: Whoever does not perform righteousness is not of God, neither is he that does not love his brother. ¹¹ For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. ¹² Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. ¹³ Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. ¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He that does not love his brother abides in death. ¹⁵ Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this we perceive the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: And we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoever has this world's good life, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his inner heart of compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue; but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. ²⁰ For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence toward God. ²² And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. ²³ And this is His commandment: That we should believe upon the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. ²⁴ And he that keeps His commandments dwells in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit which He has given us.

¹⁹ And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?

¹⁹ Oh how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those that fear You; which You have worked for those that trust in You before the sons of men!

⁷ How excellent is your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. ⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of Your house; and You shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures. ⁹ For with You is the fountain of life: In Your light we shall see light.

¹ Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever: With my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations. ² For I have said, "Mercy shall be built up forever: You shall establish Your faithfulness in the very heavens."

¹⁹ But I said, "How shall I put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations?" and I said, "You shall call Me, my Father; and shall not turn away from Me."

¹⁰ Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people', there it shall be said to them, 'You are the sons of the living God.'

¹² But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on His name:

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

¹⁸ If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. ¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love his own: But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

³ And these things they will do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me.

²⁵ O righteous Father, the world has not known You: But I have known You, and these have known that You have sent Me.

⁸ But God commends His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, "Abba, Father." ¹⁶ The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if as should be we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

²¹ because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

³² He that did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not together with Him also freely give us all things?

²⁵ As He says also in Hosea, "I will call them My people, who were not My people; and her beloved, who was not beloved." ²⁶ "And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people'; There they shall be called children of the living God."

¹⁸ "And will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

²⁶ For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁹ And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

⁵ to redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. ⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father."

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, through His great love with which He loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead in sins, has vivified us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved);

¹⁸ may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

⁹ In this the love of God was manifested toward us, in how God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

⁷ He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.

²⁶ And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

¹¹ You will show me the path of life: In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

¹⁵ As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Your likeness.

⁵ even to them I will give in My house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

² "But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart: For they shall see God.

²⁴ Father, I will that those whom You have given Me are also with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which You have given Me: For You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, "Abba, Father."

¹⁸ For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

²⁹ For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

⁹ But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those that love Him."

¹² For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: Now I know in part; but then I shall know even as I also am known.

⁴⁹ And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

¹⁸ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

⁶ Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: ⁷ (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) ⁸ We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father."

²¹ Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able to even subdue all things to Himself.

⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you shall also appear with Him in glory.

²⁸ So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to those that look for Him He shall appear the second time without sin to salvation.

⁴ By which are given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: That by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him; that when He appears, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

¹ Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: And everyone who loves Him that begot also loves him that is begotten of Him.

⁴ And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.

⁴⁸ Therefore be perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

³⁶ Therefore be merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

⁹ and made no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

⁴ and patience, experience; and experience, hope: ⁵ Now hope does not make us ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.

¹² And again, Isaiah said, "There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust."

¹ Therefore having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

⁵ for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

⁷ that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

¹⁸ That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

²⁶ For such a High Priest suited us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹⁴ Follow peace with all people, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found by Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

⁶ He that says he abides in Him ought himself to also so walk, even as He walked.

¹⁷ In this our love is made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: Because as He is, so are we in this world.

³¹ Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.

²⁴ And Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned: For I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and your words: Because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

⁴⁷ yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land where they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication to you in the land of those that carried them captives, saying, "We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

¹³ So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;

²⁰ And the Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said to them, "Thus said God, Why transgress you the commandments of the LORD, that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the LORD, he has also forsaken you.

⁸ He was taken from prison and from judgment: And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: For the transgression of My people was He stricken.

¹¹ Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, even by departing, that they might not obey Your voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him.

²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight: For by the law is the knowledge of sin.

¹⁵ Because the law works wrath: For where no law is, there is no transgression.

⁷ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. No, I had not known sin, but by the law: For I had not known lust, except that the law said, "You shall not covet." ⁸ But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, worked in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. ⁹ For I was alive without the law once: But when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. ¹⁰ And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to instead be to death. ¹¹ For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by the commandment slew me. ¹² Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. ¹³ Was that which is good then made death to me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

²¹ And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall mourn for many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

⁹ But if you have reverence to people, you commit sin, and are convinced by the law as being transgressors. ¹⁰ For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet offends in one point, he is guilty of all. ¹¹ For He that said, "Do not commit adultery", also said, "Do not kill." Now if you do not commit adultery, yet if you kill, you have become a transgressor of the law.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

⁸ He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for His seed remains in him: And he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

¹⁷ All unrighteousness is sin: And there is a sin not to death.

⁴ Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: Yet we had esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. ⁷ He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He did not open his mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He does not open his mouth. ⁸ He was taken from prison and from judgment: And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: For the transgression of My people was He stricken. ⁹ And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. ¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief: When you shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. ¹¹ He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: By His knowledge my righteous servant shall justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore I will divide to Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death: And He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

² Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: So will we render the calves of our lips.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS: For He shall save His people from their sins."

⁴¹ And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: But this Man has done nothing amiss."

⁴⁷ Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man."

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

³¹ And I did not know Him: But that He should be made manifest to Israel, therefore I have come baptizing with water."

⁴⁶ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe Me?

³⁰ After this I will not talk much with you: For the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in Me.

²⁴ being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ Whom God has set out to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; ²⁶ to declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: That He might be just, and the justifier of him that believes in Jesus.

²¹ For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; ²⁶ that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, ²⁷ that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

¹⁵ This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen among angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

³ Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;

¹⁵ For we do not have a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

²⁶ for then he must have often suffered since the foundation of the world: But now once in the end of the world He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

²⁰ Who truly was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

²² "Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth":

²⁴ Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live on to righteousness: By whose stripes you were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also has suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:

² (for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show to you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us);

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹ My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin. And if any man sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine; no more can you, unless you abide in Me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: For without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If a man does not abide in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁴ He that says, "I know Him", and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

¹¹ Beloved, do not follow that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: But he that does evil has not seen God.

⁷ You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.

¹ A Psalm for Solomon. Give the king Your judgments, O God, and Your righteousness to the king's son. ² He shall judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with judgment. ³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. ⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. ⁵ They shall fear You as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. ⁶ He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: As showers that water the earth. ⁷ In His days the righteous shall flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures.so long as the moon endures: In Hebrew, until there is no moon

³ Blessed are those who keep judgment, and he who does righteousness at all times.

⁵ But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, ⁶ and has not eaten upon the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbor's wife, neither has come near to a menstruous woman, ⁷ and has not oppressed any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has spoiled none by violence, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment; ⁸ he who has not given forth on usury, neither has taken any increase, who has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true judgment between man and man, ⁹ has walked in My statutes, and has kept My judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live", said the Lord GOD.

²⁰ For I say to you, That unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

⁷⁵ in holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days of our life.

³⁵ But in every nation he that fears Him, and works righteousness, is accepted with Him.

⁶ who "will render to every man according to his deeds": ⁷ To those who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: ⁸ But to those who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

¹³ (for the hearers of the law are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

¹⁶ Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as servants to obey, you are his servants whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? ¹⁷ But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you. ¹⁸ Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: For whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. ⁸ For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

⁶ Let no man deceive you with vain words: For because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.

⁹ (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth);

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

⁸ But to the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

² to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation "King of righteousness", and after that also "King of Salem", which is "King of peace";

²² But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

¹⁹ You believe that there is one God; you do well: The devils also believe, and tremble.

¹ Go now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. ² Your riches are corrupted, and your clothes are moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver are cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as if it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.

¹⁵ But as He which has called you is holy, so likewise you be holy in all manner of conversation; ¹⁶ because it is written, "Be holy; for I am holy."

²⁶ These things I have written to you concerning those that seduce you.

²⁹ If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who does righteousness is born of Him.

³ And every man that has this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He is pure.

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."

¹ In that day the LORD shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent with His severe and great and strong sword, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

³⁸ the field is the world; the good seeds are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

²⁴ saying, "Let us alone; what have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God."

¹⁸ And He said to them, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: For he is a liar, and the father of it.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world: Now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

¹¹ of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

² in which you walked in time past according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:

¹⁵ and having spoiled principalities and powers, He made an exhibit of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

¹⁴ Since then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

⁵ And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.

¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: Whoever does not perform righteousness is not of God, neither is he that does not love his brother.

¹⁹ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.

⁶ And the angels which did not keep their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

² And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years are fulfilled: And after that he must be loosed for a little season.

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹⁵ And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

²⁸ But you should say, "Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?

¹⁸ A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

¹³ Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

³ Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

²⁰ For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."

² God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer in it?

¹⁷ For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: And these are contrary to one another; so that you cannot do the things that you would like.

² in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

²³ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which lives and abides forever.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another: For love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God, and knows God.

⁴ For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: And this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

³⁵ But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: For He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.

⁴⁷ He that is of God hears God's words: Therefore you do not hear them, because you are not of God."

¹⁰ and said, "O full of all craftiness and all mischief, you child of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

¹ You therefore be followers of God, as dear children;

⁹ He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now. ¹⁰ He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no incidence of stumbling in him.

⁷ Little children, let no man deceive you: He that does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. ⁸ He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He that does not love his brother abides in death. ¹⁵ Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

³ And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God: And this is that spirit of antichrist, which you have heard that it should come; and even now it is already in the world. ⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

⁶ We are of God: He that knows God hears us; he that is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

²¹ And this commandment we have from Him, that he who loves God love his brother also.

² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that also you love one another. ³⁵ By this all men shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.

² Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

² and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

⁹ But concerning brotherly love, you do not need that I write to you: For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

⁵ Now the end purpose of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and from a good conscience, and from sincere faith without hypocrisy:

²² Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another fervently with a pure heart:

⁸ Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion toward one another, love as brethren, be tender-hearted, be courteous:

⁸ And above all things have fervent love among yourselves; for "love shall cover the multitude of sins."

⁵ This then is the message which we have heard from Him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

⁷ Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the beginning. ⁸ Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you: Because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.

⁵ And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

⁴ And Abel, he also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. And the LORD had respect to Abel and to his offering: ⁵ But to Cain and to his offering He did not have respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. ⁶ And the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you wroth? And why has your countenance fallen? ⁷ If you do well, shall you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And his desire shall be toward you, and you shall rule over him. ⁸ And Cain talked with Abel his brother: And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. ⁹ And the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know: Am I my brother's keeper?" ¹⁰ And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground. ¹¹ And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand; ¹² when you till the ground, it shall not yield her strength to you from now on; a fugitive and a vagabond you shall be in the earth." ¹³ And Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear. ¹⁴ Behold, You have driven me out from the face of the earth this day; and from Your face I shall be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that everyone that finds me shall slay me." ¹⁵ And the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.

²⁵ And Adam knew his wife again; and she bore a son, and called his name Seth: "For God," she said, "has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."

¹⁴ And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him. ¹⁵ Therefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.

⁴ And Jonathan spoke good of David to his father Saul, and said to him, "Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his works have been very good toward you: ⁵ For he put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great salvation for all Israel: You saw it, and rejoiced: Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?"

¹⁴ Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, "And who is so faithful among all your servants as David, which is the king's son-in-law, and goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house? ¹⁵ Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? Be it far from me: Let not the king impute anything to his servant, nor to all the house of my father: For your servant knew nothing of all this, less or more." ¹⁶ And the king said, "You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all your father's house."

¹² The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth.

²⁰ Those that render evil for good are also my adversaries; because I follow the thing that is good.

¹⁰ The bloodthirsty hate the upright: But the just seek his soul.

²⁷ An unjust man is an abomination to the just: And he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

¹⁹ When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes, and takes away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside.

³⁵ That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you slew between the temple and the altar.

²³ And the governor said, "Why, what evil has He done?" But they cried out all the more, saying, "Let Him be crucified."

⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias, who perished between the altar and the temple: Truly I say to you, It shall be required of this generation.

³² Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father; for which of those works do you stone Me?"

¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love his own: But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you, 'The servant is not greater than his lord.' If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My sayings, they will keep yours also. ²¹ But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him that sent Me. ²² If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin: But now they have no cloke for their sin. ²³ He that hates Me hates My Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no other man did, they would not have had sin: But now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father. ²⁵ But this came to pass, that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated Me without a cause.'

³⁸ Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, "I find no fault in Him at all. ³⁹ But you have a custom, that I should release someone to you at the Passover: Are you therefore willing that I release to you the King of the Jews?" ⁴⁰ Then they all cried out again, saying, "Not this Man, but Barabbas." Now Barabbas was a robber.

⁵² Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they have slain those which foretold of the coming of the Just One; of whom you now have been the betrayers and murderers:

¹⁴ For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judea are in Christ Jesus: For you also have suffered similar things from your own countrymen, even as they have from the Jews:

⁴ By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: And by it he being dead still speaks.

²⁴ and to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

⁴ In which they think it is strange that you do not run with them to the same riotous excesses, speaking evil of you:

¹³ I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him that is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. ¹⁴ I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him that is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.

⁸ He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

¹¹ Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the contrariety of Korah.

⁶ And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

⁸ If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, do not marvel at the matter: For he who is higher than the highest observes; and there be higher than they.

²² And you shall be hated by all people for My name's sake: But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

⁹ Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: And you shall be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

¹³ And you shall be hated by all people for My name's sake: But he who endures to the end, the same shall be saved.

²² Blessed are you, when men hate you, and when they separate you from their company, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake.

¹⁷ And you shall be hated by all people for My name's sake.

⁷ Do not marvel that I said to you, 'All of you must be born again.'All of you: In KJV, Ye; hence "All of you" signifies a plural "you"

⁷ The world cannot hate you; but it hates Me, because I testify of it, that the works of the world are evil.

² They shall put you out of the synagogues: Yes, the time is coming, that whoever kills you will think that he does service to God.

³³ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

¹⁴ I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¹² Now when Peter saw it, he answered to the people, "You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why do you look so earnestly upon us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man walk?

⁷ Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: For it is not subject to the law of God, indeed neither can be.

¹² Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

⁴ You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

⁷ And the angel said to me, "Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

³ but to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

¹⁶ The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me.'

²⁴ For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.' And they began to be merry.

³² It was proper that we should make merry, and be glad: For your brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.' "

²⁴ "Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears My word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but has passed from death to life.

³⁵ By this all men shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

¹⁷ These things I command you, that you love one another.

¹ For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

¹⁵ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love to all the saints,

¹ And you He has vivified, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

⁵ even when we were dead in sins, has vivified us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved);

⁴ since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love that you have to all the saints,

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. ¹¹ And we desire that every one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope to the end:

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

⁷ and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.

³ And by this we shall know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

⁹ He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now. ¹⁰ He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no incidence of stumbling in him. ¹¹ But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes.

²³ And this is His commandment: That we should believe upon the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another: For love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God, and knows God. ⁸ He that does not love does not know God; for God is love.

¹² No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.

²⁰ If any man says, "I love God", and hates his brother, he is a liar: For he that does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? ²¹ And this commandment we have from Him, that he who loves God love his brother also.

¹³ These things I have written to you who believe upon the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe upon the name of the Son of God.

¹⁹ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness. ²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁴¹ And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him: And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will slay my brother Jacob.

¹⁶ You shall not go up and down as a talebearer among your people: Neither shall you stand against the blood of your neighbor; I am the LORD. ¹⁷ You shall not hate your brother in your heart: You shall in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not suffer sin on him. ¹⁸ You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

²² And Absalom spoke to his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: For Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar. ²³ And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheep shearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: And Absalom invited all the king's sons. ²⁴ And Absalom came to the king, and said, "Behold now, your servant has sheep shearers; let the king, I beseech you, and his servants go with your servant. ²⁵ And the king said to Absalom, "No, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable to you. And he pressed him: However, he would not go, but blessed him. ²⁶ Then said Absalom, If not, I implore you, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said to him, "Why should he go with you? ²⁷ But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him. ²⁸ Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, "Mark you now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: Have I not commanded you? Be courageous, and be valiant.

²⁴ He that hates conceals with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself; ²⁵ when he speaks in a pleasing manner, do not believe him: For there are seven abominations in his heart. ²⁶ Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shown before the whole congregation.

²¹ You have heard that it was said by those of old times, 'You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be in danger of the judgment': ²² But I say to you, That whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: And whoever shall say to his brother, 'You vain fellow' shall be in danger of the council: But whoever says, 'You fool', shall be in danger of hell fire.

²⁸ But I say to you that whoever looks upon a woman, to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

¹⁹ Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

¹⁴ But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

¹² And when it was day, certain ones of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.

¹⁴ And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, "We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.

²⁰ idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, ²¹ envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also told you in time past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: And sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

¹ From what source do wars and fighting come from among you? Do they not come from this, even out of your lusts that war in your members? ² You lust, and have not: You kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: You fight and war, yet you do not have, because you do not ask.

⁸ But the fearful, unbelieving, the abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: Which is the second death."

²⁸ Even as the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many."

¹⁵ As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father: And I lay down My life for the sheep.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that also you love one another.

¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

²⁸ Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock, among whom the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He has purchased with His own blood.

⁴ Who have laid down their own necks for my life: To whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it;

¹⁷ Yes, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad, and rejoice with you all.

³⁰ Because for the work of Christ he came near to death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

¹³ looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

¹⁸ Consider that as you know you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

⁹ In this the love of God was manifested toward us, in how God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought to also love one another.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;

⁷ If there be among you a poor man of one of your brothers within any of your gates in your land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother: ⁸ But you shall open your hand wide to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wants. ⁹ Beware that there be not a thought in your wicked heart, saying, "The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and your eye be evil against your poor brother, and you give him nothing; and he cry to the LORD against you, and it be sin to you. ¹⁰ You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him: Because that for this thing the LORD your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all that you put your hand to. ¹¹ For the poor shall never cease out of the land: Therefore I command you, saying, "You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor, and to your needy, in your land.

¹⁰ A righteous man regards the life of his beast: But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

¹⁷ He that has pity upon the poor lends to the LORD; and that which he has given He will repay him again.

⁹ He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

⁷ Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you do not hide yourself from your own flesh? ⁸ Then your light shall break forth like the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: And your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear-guard. ⁹ Then you shall call, and the LORD shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, 'Here I am.' If you take away the yoke from the midst of you, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; ¹⁰ and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then your light shall rise in obscurity, and your darkness be like the noon day:

¹¹ He answered and said to them, "He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise."

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that through His poverty you might be rich.

¹⁴ But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their lack, that their abundance may also be a supply for your lack: That there may be equality: ¹⁵ As it is written, "He that gathered much had nothing left over; and he that gathered little had no lack."

⁵ Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go to you ahead of time, and compose beforehand your blessing of bounty, of which you had previous notice, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. ⁶ But this I say, he which sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. ⁷ Let every man give according to as he purposes in his heart; not grudgingly, nor of necessity: For God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: ⁹ (As it is written, "He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor: His righteousness remains forever."

¹⁷ Charge those that are rich in this world, that they are not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

¹⁶ But do not forget to do good and to communicate: For with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

¹⁵ If a brother or sister is naked, and destitute of daily food,

²⁰ If any man says, "I love God", and hates his brother, he is a liar: For he that does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

²¹ And the LORD said, "Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand upon a rock:

³¹ And they come to you according to the coming of the people, and they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they will not do them: For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness.

⁴¹ Then He shall say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: ⁴² For I was hungry, and you gave Me no food: I was thirsty, and you gave Me no drink: ⁴³ I was a stranger, and you did not take Me in: Naked, and you did not clothe Me: Sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.' ⁴⁴ Then they also shall answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?' ⁴⁵ Then He shall answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

⁹ Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

⁴ Love suffers long, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up, ⁵ does not behave indecently itself, does not seek her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; ⁶ does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

¹³ For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

¹ Brethren, if a man is overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. ² Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

¹ I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the vocation in which you are called, ² with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love; ³ endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

¹⁵ but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

¹⁵ If a brother or sister is naked, and destitute of daily food, ¹⁶ and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled"; but you do not give them those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit?

¹ The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all those that have known the truth; ² for the truth's sake, which dwells in us, and shall be with us forever. ³ Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. ⁴ I rejoiced greatly because I found out your children are walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. ⁵ And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. ⁶ And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. ⁷ For many deceivers have entered into the world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. ⁸ Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that we receive a full reward. ⁹ Whoever transgresses, and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son. ¹⁰ If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, neither bid him God-speed: ¹¹ For he that bids him God-speed is a partaker of his evil deeds. ¹² Having many things to write to you, I will not write more with paper and ink: But I trust to come to you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. ¹³ The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.

¹ The elder to the well-beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. ² Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. ³ For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. ⁵ Beloved, you do faithfully all that you do for the brethren, and for strangers; ⁶ who have borne witness of your love before the church: Whom if you accompany on their journey in a Godly way, you shall do well: ⁷ Because for His name's sake they went forth, taking nothing from the Gentiles. ⁸ We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellow-helpers to the truth. ⁹ I wrote to the church: But Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us. ¹⁰ Therefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words: And not content with that, neither does he himself receive the brethren, and forbids those that would receive them, and drives them out of the church. ¹¹ Beloved, do not follow that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: But he that does evil has not seen God. ¹² Demetrius has a good report from all men, and from the truth itself: Yes, and we also bear witness; and you know that our witness is true. ¹³ I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write to you: ¹⁴ But I trust I shall see you shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to you. Our friends salute you. Greet the friends by name.

¹⁷ And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.

³⁷ Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is of the truth hears My voice."

²¹ and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

¹² For this reason I also suffer these things: Nevertheless I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that day.

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them far off, and were persuaded by them, embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He that does not love his brother abides in death.

²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence toward God.

⁶ My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

¹² Behold, in this you are not just: I will answer you, that God is greater than man.

²⁰ If we have forgotten the name of our God, or outstretched our hands to a strange god; ²¹ shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

⁸ You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O LORD, You have searched me, and known me. ² You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off. ³ You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways, ⁴ for there is not a word in my tongue, but lo, O LORD, You know it altogether.

¹⁰ I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

²⁴ Can anyone hide himself in secret places such that I shall not see him?" said the LORD. "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" said the LORD.

²⁴ But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, ²⁵ and did not need from man that any should testify: For He knew what was in man.

⁹ Now those which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the eldest, even to the last: And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

²⁹ My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. ³⁰ I and My Father are one."

¹⁷ He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

³³ When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

¹⁴ For when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves: ¹⁵ Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts like the plaintiff accusing or else excusing one another;)

⁴ For I know nothing by myself; yet I am not justified by this: But He that judges me is the Lord.

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there comes in one that does not believe, or one unlearned, he is convinced by all, he is discerned by all: ²⁵ And in this way the secrets of his heart are made apparent; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is truly in you.

¹¹ knowing that he who is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned by himself.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: But all things are naked and uncovered to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to give account.

¹³ For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by none greater, He swore by Himself,

⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searches the inner reins and hearts: And I will give to every one of you according to your works.

²⁶ For then you shall have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift up your face to God.

³ O LORD my God, If I have done this; if there is iniquity in my hands; ⁴ if I have rewarded evil to him that was at peace with me; (yes, I have delivered him who without cause is my enemy): ⁵ Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yes, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.

² I will behave wisely myself in a perfect way. O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

⁸ It is my will therefore that men everywhere pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us:

¹⁷ LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble: You will prepare their heart, You will cause Your ear to hear:

⁴ I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

¹⁵ The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. ¹⁶ The face of the LORD is against those that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. ¹⁷ The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

¹⁵ And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

¹⁸ If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: ¹⁹ But truly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.

¹⁸ The LORD is near to all those that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. ¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of those that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

²⁹ The LORD is far from the wicked: But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

¹⁵ And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: Your hands are full of blood.

⁶ All of you seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near: ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: And let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

¹² Then you shall call upon Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will hearken to you. ¹³ And you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

³ 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: ⁸ For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

²⁴ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: For it was founded upon a rock.

⁵ While he still spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: And behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear Him."

²² And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive."

²⁴ Therefore I say to you, Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

⁹ So I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. ¹¹ If a son shall ask for bread from any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? ¹² Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? ¹³ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: How much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe upon Him whom He has sent."

²⁹ And He that sent Me is with Me: The Father has not left Me alone; for I always do those things that please Him."

³¹ Now we know that God does not hear sinners: But if any man is a worshiper of God, and does His will, He hears him.

¹³ And whatever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.

¹⁰ If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

²³ And in that day you shall ask Me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give you it. ²⁴ Until now you have asked nothing in My name: Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

³⁰ Indeed, the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent:

²¹ testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a sweet smelling savor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

¹⁰ that you might walk worthy of the Lord as always pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

²¹ make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all people liberally, and without suffering reproach; and it shall be given to him.

¹⁶ Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

²³ And this is His commandment: That we should believe upon the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. ²⁴ And he that keeps His commandments dwells in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit which He has given us.

¹⁵ The LORD your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, similar to me; to him you shall listen; ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, "Let me not hear the voice of the LORD my God again, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. ¹⁷ And the LORD said to me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. ¹⁸ I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, like to you, and will put My words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. ¹⁹ And it shall come to pass, that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and all you perish from pursuing the way, when His wrath is kindled only a little. Blessed are all those that put their trust in Him.

³⁹ And the second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

⁷ And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son: Hear Him."

¹ "Let not your heart be troubled: You believe in God, believe also in Me.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

³¹ And they said, "Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house."

⁸ Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you: Because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.

¹¹ For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

⁵⁴ Whoever eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He who eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, dwells in Me, and I in him.

²¹ He that has My commandments, and keeps them, it is he that loves Me: And he that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him." ²² Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, "If a man loves Me, he will keep My words: And My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.

⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. ⁸ In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples. ⁹ As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you: Continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

²¹ that they all may be one; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they may also be one in Us: That the world may believe that You have sent Me.

⁹ But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if as should be the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. ¹⁰ And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also vivify your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you. ¹² Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. ¹³ For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: But if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.

¹⁶ Do you all not know that you all are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?you all (2X): In KJV, ye (2X); hence both instances of "you all" are plural

¹⁹ What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God, and you are not your own?

¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God; as God has said: "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

¹⁴ That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit which dwells in us.

²² And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

¹² No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us. ¹³ By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.
