² And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, "Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while you be with him; and if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

³ For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them. ⁴ Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem shall my name be forever. ⁵ And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. ⁶ And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: Also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: He worked much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. ⁷ And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever: ⁸ Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses. ⁹ So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

⁸ Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: ⁹ And the contemptible man bows down, and the great man humbles himself: Therefore do not forgive them.

²⁵ Therefore He has poured on him the fury of His anger, and the strength of battle: And it has set him on fire all around, yet he did not know it; and it burned him, yet he did not take it to heart.

⁴ Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: Lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings."

²⁰ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, My anger and My fury shall be poured out on this place, upon man, and upon beast, and on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched."

' ³ And I will appoint over them four kinds", said the LORD: "the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the wild beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. ⁴ And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

⁴ He has bent His bow like an enemy: He stood with His right hand as an adversary, and slew all who were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: He poured out his fury like fire.

⁴³ And if your hand causes you to offend, cut it off: It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than to go into hell having two hands, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁴ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁵ And if your foot causes you to offend, cut it off: It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than to be cast into hell having two feet, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁶ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁷ And if your eye causes you to offend, pluck it out: It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than to be cast into hell fire having two eyes: ⁴⁸ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.'

¹⁰ the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever: And they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."
