⁵ The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, "The action has gone from me: If you will not make known to me the dream, with its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

²² Now consider this, you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

⁷ Let them melt away as waters which run continually: When he bends his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

¹² For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

²⁹ Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: Because there is no other God that can deliver in this manner."
