¹⁷ If that is the case, our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

²² It is you, O king, that are grown and have become strong: For your greatness has grown, and reaches to heaven, and your dominion to the end of the earth.

²⁷ Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of your tranquility."

⁶ Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosened, and his knees knocked against one another.

¹⁸ O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honor:

⁷ All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counselors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, except of you, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

²² My God has sent His angel, and has shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me: In as much as innocency was found in me before Him; and also before you, O king, I have done no hurt."

²³ saying, "We truly found the prison shut with all certainty, and the keepers standing outside before the doors: But when we opened, we found no man within." ²⁴ Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they questioned them about where this news would grow. ²⁵ Then one came and told them, saying, "Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people."

⁶ And he trembling and astonished said, "Lord, what would You have me to do?" And the Lord said to him, "Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told to you what you must do."
