³ Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, 'On the tenth day of this month they shall take to themselves, every man, a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:

⁴ And Abel, he also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. And the LORD had respect to Abel and to his offering:

⁸ And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering": So they both went on together.

³⁰ And Aaron spoke all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

⁶ Therefore say to the children of Israel, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:

⁶ And you shall care for it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

¹⁵ And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward:

¹⁹ And they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear: But do not let God speak with us, lest we die."

² speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, If any man of you bring an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of the domestic beasts, even of the herd, and of the flock.

⁶ And he shall bring his trespass offering to the LORD for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, ² take you the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls; ³ from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: You and Aaron shall number them by their armies. ⁴ And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers. ⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: Of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur. ⁶ Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. ⁷ Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab. ⁸ Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar. ⁹ Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon. ¹⁰ Of the children of Joseph: Of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: Of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. ¹¹ Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni. ¹² Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. ¹³ Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran. ¹⁴ Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel. ¹⁵ Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan. ¹⁶ These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel. ¹⁷ And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names: ¹⁸ And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls. ¹⁹ As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai. ²⁰ And the children of Reuben, Israel's oldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²¹ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred. ²² Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²³ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred. ²⁴ Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³¹ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred. ³² Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³³ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred. ³⁴ Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³⁵ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred. ³⁶ Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ⁴¹ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred. ⁴² Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ⁴³ those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred. ⁴⁴ These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: Each one was for the house of his fathers. ⁴⁵ So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel; ⁴⁶ even all those that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty. ⁴⁷ But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. ⁴⁸ For the LORD had spoken to Moses, saying, ⁴⁹ only you shall not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel: ⁵⁰ But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all its vessels, and over all things that belong to it: They shall bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels; and they shall minister to it, and shall encamp all around the tabernacle. ⁵¹ And when the tabernacle sets forward, the Levites shall take it down: And when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: And the stranger that comes near shall be put to death. ⁵² And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts. ⁵³ But the Levites shall pitch all around the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony. ⁵⁴ And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.

¹¹ Thus shall it be done for one bull, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.

¹⁴ In the morning therefore you shall be brought according to your tribes: And it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD takes shall come according to its families; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.

⁹ And Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to the LORD: And Samuel cried out to the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.

⁷ And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the Passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bulls: These were of the king's substance.

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

³⁶ and looking upon Jesus as He walked, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!"

¹ Then, six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom He raised from the dead.

¹² On the next day many people who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

⁷ Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

⁶ And I beheld, and lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. ⁷ Then He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. ⁸ And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, every one of them having harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of saints. ⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ and have made us kings and priests to our God: And we shall reign on the earth." ¹¹ Then I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels all around the throne, and the beasts, and the elders: And the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing." ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, saying, "Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to Him that sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever."

⁹ After this I beheld, and lo, a large multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; ¹⁰ And cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb." ¹¹ And all the angels stood all around the throne, and around the elders and the four beasts, and fell on their faces before the throne, and worshiped God, ¹² saying, "Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen." ¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying to me, "What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And where did they come from?" ¹⁴ And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are those which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
