⁴ And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹³ And these are the measurements of the altar using cubits: The cubit is a cubit and a hand-breadth; even the bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and its border by its edge all around shall be a span: And this shall be the higher place of the altar. ¹⁴ And from the bottom upon the ground even to the lower level shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser level even to the greater level shall be four cubits, and the breadth one cubit. ¹⁵ So the altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar and upward shall be four horns. ¹⁶ And the altar shall be twelve cubits long, twelve wide, square in the four squares of it. ¹⁷ And the main level shall be fourteen cubits long and fourteen wide in the four squares of it; and the border around it shall be half a cubit; and its bottom shall be a cubit around; and his stairs shall look toward the east.

¹⁰ We have an altar, from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

¹² And you shall take of the blood of the bull, and put it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.

⁷ And the priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bull at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

¹⁸ And he shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

²⁵ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.

¹⁵ And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar all around with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation on it.

¹⁸ And he shall go out to the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bull, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar all around.

³⁸ The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: For they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: And they shall be a sign to the children of Israel. ³⁹ And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers, with which those that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

⁵⁰ And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

⁶⁴ The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: For there he offered burnt offerings, and food offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: Because the brazen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and food offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

¹³ And the priests' custom with the people was that when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was boiling, with a fleshhook of three prongs in his hand; ¹⁴ and he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites that came there.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD:

⁹ According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all its instruments, even to such a degree you shall make it.

⁴⁰ And see that you make them after their pattern, which was shown to you in the mount.

³⁰ And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its fashion which was shown to you in the mount. ³¹ And you shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine-twined linen of cunning work: It shall be made with cherubims: ³² And you shall hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: Their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver. ³³ And you shall hang up the veil under the clasps, that you may bring the ark of the testimony into that place within the veil: And the veil shall divide for you between the holy place and the most holy. ³⁴ And you shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place. ³⁵ And you shall set the table without the veil, and the candlestick in front of the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: And you shall put the table on the north side. ³⁶ And you shall make a hanging for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine-twined linen, produced with needlework. ³⁷ And you shall make five pillars of shittim wood for the hanging, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall be of gold: And you shall cast five sockets of brass for them.

¹¹ Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of the upper chambers of it, and of the inner parlors of it, and of the place of the mercy seat,

¹⁹ All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

⁹ But in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' "

²⁰ Therefore, if you are dead with Christ from the first principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinances, ²¹ ("Do not touch; do not taste; do not handle"; ²² which all concern things that perish with their use); according to the commandments and doctrines of men? ²³ Which things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in willful worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honor to resist the satisfying of the flesh.

⁵ Who serve following the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God when he was about to make the tabernacle: For He said, "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain."

³ Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and in front of the pavement which was for the outermost court, was gallery against gallery in three stories.

¹⁹ He turned around to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. ²⁰ He measured it by the four sides: It had a wall all around, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred wide, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.

²⁰ Then he said to me, "This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the food offering; that they do not carry them outside into the outermost court, to sanctify the people." ²¹ Then he brought me forth into the outermost court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and behold, in every corner of the court there was a court within a court. ²² In the four corners of the court there were courts joined, each being forty cubits long and thirty wide: These four corners were of one and the same measurements. ²³ And there was a row of building stone all around in them, all around those four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows of stone all around. ²⁴ Then he said to me, "These are the places for those who boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people."

¹⁹ And you shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons. ²⁰ And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side there shall be twenty boards: ²¹ And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.

²³ And I will fasten him as a nail in a secure place; and he shall become a glorious throne to his father's house. ²⁴ And they shall hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the posterity, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of pitchers. ²⁵ 'In that day', said the LORD of hosts, 'the nail that is fastened in the secure place shall be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: For the LORD has spoken it.' "

²⁰ Look on Zion, the city of our solemnities: Your eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes of it shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords of it be broken.

⁴ Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.

³¹ And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold: The candlestick shall be made of beaten work: His shaft, and his branches, his bowls, its buds, and its flowers, shall be of the same. ³² And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: ³³ Three bowls made likened to almonds, with a bud and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a bud and a flower: In such a fashion shall be the six branches that come out of the candlestick. ³⁴ And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made likened to almonds, with their buds and their flowers. ³⁵ And there shall be a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, and a bud under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick. ³⁶ Their buds and their branches shall be of the same: All of it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. ³⁷ And you shall make the seven lamps of it: And they shall light its lamps, that they may give light in front of it.

³⁷ the pure candlestick, with its lamps, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all its vessels, and the oil for light,

¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. ³ Without the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening to the morning before the LORD continually: It shall be a statute forever in your generations. ⁴ He shall order the lamps on the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.

⁹ But the olive tree said to them, "Should I leave my fatness, with which by me they honor God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

¹¹ Then I answered, and said to him, "What are these two olive trees on the right side of the candlestick and on the left side of it?" ¹² And I answered again, and said to him, "What are these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?" ¹³ And he answered me and said, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord." ¹⁴ Then he said, "These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth."

⁴ These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

⁵ And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

⁸ And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

³⁴ As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

¹⁶ And you shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

²¹ And you shall put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. ²² And there I will meet with you, and I will commune with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

³¹ And you shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine-twined linen of cunning work: It shall be made with cherubims: ³² And you shall hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: Their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver. ³³ And you shall hang up the veil under the clasps, that you may bring the ark of the testimony into that place within the veil: And the veil shall divide for you between the holy place and the most holy.

⁴³ And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in to the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near the altar to minister in the holy place; that they do not bear iniquity, and die: It shall be a statute forever to him and his seed after him.

⁹ And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: And the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons. ¹⁰ And you shall cause a bull to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: And Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bull.

²⁸ And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute forever from the children of Israel: For it is a heave offering: And it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering to the LORD.

⁴² This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: Where I will meet you, to speak to you there.

⁴⁴ And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will also sanctify both Aaron and his sons, to minister to Me in the priest's office.

⁸ And when Aaron lights the lamps at sunset, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.

³⁶ And you shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with you: It shall be most holy to you.

³ And you shall put the ark of the testimony in it, and cover the ark with the veil.

⁸ And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: And Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood all around upon the altar.

¹⁷ It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that you eat neither fat nor blood.

³⁴ And this shall be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

³ Without the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening to the morning before the LORD continually: It shall be a statute forever in your generations.

⁹ And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: For it is most holy to him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.

⁹ And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: And you shall gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:

²³ But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.

²¹ And it shall be a perpetual statute to them, that he that sprinkles the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that touches the water of separation shall be unclean until even.

³ and before the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, and Samuel was laid down to sleep where the ark of God was;

²⁵ And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.

¹¹ And they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: The show-bread also set they in order on the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with its lamps, to burn every evening: For we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but you have forsaken him.

¹ A Song of degrees. Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, that stand by night in the house of the LORD.

⁷ For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: For he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

¹⁶ the people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to those that sat in the region and shadow of death, light has sprung up."

³⁵ Let your loins be girded around, and your lights burning;

³⁵ He was a burning and a shining light: And you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ We also have a more sure word of prophecy; which you do well that you take heed of, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the day star arise in your hearts:

¹ To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; 'These things says He that holds the seven stars in His right hand, Who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
