²¹ For thus says the Lord GOD; "How much more when I send My four sore judgments on Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off man and beast from it?

² And it shall come to pass, if they say to you, 'Where shall we go forth?' then you shall tell them, 'Thus says the LORD; "Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity." ' ³ And I will appoint over them four kinds", said the LORD: "the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the wild beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

¹² A third part of you shall die with the pestilence, and they shall be consumed with famine in the midst of you: And a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

¹⁷ So too I will send on you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave you: And pestilence and blood shall pass through you; and I will bring the sword on you. I the LORD have spoken it.' "

¹¹ Thus says the Lord GOD; "Smite with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, 'Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! For they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence. ¹² He who is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he who is near shall fall by the sword; and he who remains and is besieged shall die by the famine: Thus will I accomplish my fury on them.

¹³ "Son of man, when the land sins against Me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out My hand upon it, and will break the staff of its breads, and will send famine on it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

¹⁵ "If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it is desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:

¹⁷ Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, 'Sword, go through the land'; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

¹⁹ Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out My fury on it in blood, to cut off man and beast from it:

²⁷ Thus say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "As I live, surely those who are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and he who is in the open field I will give to the beasts to be devoured, and they who are in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

⁶ "And I have also given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and a want of bread in all your places: Yet you have not returned to Me", says the LORD. ⁷ "And I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months until the harvest: And I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: One piece of land was rained upon, and the piece of land upon which it did not rain withered. ⁸ So two or three cities wandered to one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: Yet you have not returned to Me", says the LORD. ⁹ "I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: When your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: Yet you have not returned to Me", says the LORD. ¹⁰ "I have sent the pestilence among you after the manner of Egypt: I have slain your young men with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up to your nostrils: Yet you have not returned to Me", says the LORD.after the manner; or, in the way ¹¹ "I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: Yet you have not returned to Me", says the LORD. ¹² "Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel: And because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel."

⁴ And another horse went out that was red: And power was given to him that sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: And there was given to him a great sword. ⁵ And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, "Come and see." And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. ⁶ And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, "A measure of wheat for a silver coin, and three measures of barley for a silver coin; and see you do not harm the oil and the wine."A measure: The word choenix signifies a measure containing 1 & 1/12'th wine quarts ⁷ And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, "Come and see." ⁸ Then I looked, and behold a pale horse: And his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given to them over a quarter of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the wild beasts of the earth.
