⁴ And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street, ⁵ and said to them, "Hear me, you Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.

³⁴ Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept your law, nor listened to your commandments and your testimonies, with which you did testify against them.

⁴ For my iniquities have gone over my head: As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

¹¹ He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: By His knowledge my righteous servant shall justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities.

¹¹ For both prophet and priest are profane; yes, in My house I have found their wickedness", said the LORD.

²⁶ Her priests have violated My law, and have profaned My holy things: They have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

¹⁵ But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the ordinances of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister to Me, and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood", says the Lord GOD:

¹¹ It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept My ordinances, which did not go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

⁴ Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.

²² Do not suddenly lay hands on any man, neither be a partaker of other man's sins: Keep yourself pure.
