⁷ And the LORD appeared to Abram, and said, "I will give this land to your seed": And he built an altar to the LORD there, Who appeared to him.

²⁰ And Noah built an altar to the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

⁸ And he removed himself from that place to a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: And he built an altar to the LORD there, and called upon the name of the LORD.

⁴ to the place of the altar, which he had made there during his first stay: And there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

¹⁵ For all the land which you see, I will give it to you, and to your seed forever.

¹⁸ Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelled in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built an altar to the LORD there.

¹⁸ On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

¹ And when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said to him, "I am the Almighty God; walk before Me, and be perfect.

³ And Abram fell on his face: And God talked with him, saying,

⁸ And I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

¹ And the LORD appeared to him in the plains of Mamre: And he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

⁹ And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

³ Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for to you, and to your seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father;

²⁵ And he built an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: And Isaac's servants dug a well there.

¹³ And behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, "I am the LORD God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: The land upon which you lie, I will give it to you, and to your seed;

³⁰ And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."Peniel; that is, The face of God

²⁰ And he erected an altar there, and called it Elelohe-Israel.Elelohe-Israel; that is, God the God of Israel

³ And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by My name JEHOVAH I was not known to them.

¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "Depart, and go up from here, you and the people which you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, 'To your seed I will give it':

¹¹ surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

⁸ Behold, I have set the land before you: Go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their seed after them.

¹⁰ And it shall be, when the LORD your God shall have brought you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and goodly cities, which you built not,

²⁰ That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may hold to him: For he is your life, and the length of your days: That you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

⁹ The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac; ¹⁰ and confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: ¹¹ Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:" ¹² When they were merely a few men in number; yes, very few, and strangers in it.

⁸ That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: But the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

¹⁶ Now the promises were made to Abraham and his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds", as of many; but as of one, "And to your seed", which is Christ.

²⁸ Now we, brethren, are children of promise, as Isaac was.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them far off, and were persuaded by them, embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
