¹ Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all those that stood by him; and he cried, "Cause every man to go out from me." And no man stood there with him, while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. ² And he wept aloud: And the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. ³ And Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph; does my father still live?" And his brothers could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. ⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, "Come near to me, I implore you." And they came near. And he said, "I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. ⁵ Now therefore do not be grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here: For God sent me before you to preserve life. ⁶ For these two years the famine has been in the land: And there are still five more years, in which there shall be neither plowing nor harvest. ⁷ And God sent me before you to preserve for you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. ⁸ So now it was not you that sent me here, but God: And He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. ⁹ Make haste, and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt: Come down to me, do not tarry: ¹⁰ And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you, and your children, and your children's children, and your flocks, and your herds, and all that you have: ¹¹ And I will nourish you there; for there are still five more years of famine; lest you, and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty." ' ¹² And behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you. ¹³ And you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall make haste and bring my father down to this place." ¹⁴ And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck. ¹⁵ Moreover he kissed all his brothers, and wept upon them: And after that his brothers talked with him. ¹⁶ And the report about it was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, "Joseph's brothers have come": And it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. ¹⁷ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Say to your brothers, 'Do this; load your beasts, and go, get yourselves to the land of Canaan; ¹⁸ and take your father and your households, and come to me: And I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land. ¹⁹ Now you are commanded, do this; take for yourselves wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. ²⁰ Also do not overly regard your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.' " ²¹ And the children of Israel did so: And Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. ²² To all of them he gave each man changes of clothing; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of clothing. ²³ And to his father he sent in this manner; ten donkeys laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-donkeys laden with grain and bread and food for his father along the way. ²⁴ So he sent his brothers away, and they departed: And he said to them, "See that you do not fall out along the way." ²⁵ And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan to Jacob their father, ²⁶ and told him, saying, "Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt." And Jacob's heart fainted, for he did not believe them. ²⁷ And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them: And when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived: ²⁸ And Israel said, "It is enough; Joseph my son is still alive: I will go and see him before I die."

³⁰ And Joseph made haste; for his bowels yearned upon his brother: And he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there. ³¹ And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, "Set out the bread."

²⁰ Tell it not in Gath, do not publish it in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

¹⁴ I have long time held my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: Now I will cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

⁹ Then I said, "I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name." But His word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

¹⁵ Moreover, if your brother trespasses against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen in advance by God, even to us, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.

⁵ does not behave indecently itself, does not seek her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;

²⁹ And Joseph made his chariot ready, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself to him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

¹ And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

⁹ The LORD grant you that you may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voices, and wept.

³ I beseech you, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

³⁷ Moreover they all wept deeply, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,

⁵ But now it is come on you, and you faint; it touches you, and you are troubled.

¹⁵ Therefore am I troubled at his presence: When I consider, I am afraid of him.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: And they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

²⁶ And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a spirit"; and they cried out for fear. ²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer; it is I; do not be afraid."

⁵⁰ For they all saw Him, and were troubled. Then immediately He talked with them, and said to them, "Be of good cheer: It is I; do not be afraid."

⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord."

³⁷ But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

¹³ And at the second visit Joseph was made known to his brothers; and Joseph's kindred were made known to Pharaoh.

⁵ And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And the Lord said, "I am Jesus whom you persecute: It is hard for you to kick against the prods."

⁷ Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and also those which pierced Him: And all tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

²⁸ Then Midianite merchants passed by there; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: And they brought Joseph into Egypt.

¹⁸ And his brothers also went and fell down before his face; and they said, "Behold, we are your servants."

²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer; it is I; do not be afraid."

⁷ And God sent me before you to preserve for you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. ⁸ So now it was not you that sent me here, but God: And He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

²⁵ And they said, "You have saved our lives: Let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants."

²⁰ But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.

¹⁹ And they rose up early in the morning, and worshiped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house at Ramah: And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.

¹² For you did it secretly: But I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

¹⁰ And the king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? So let him curse, because the LORD has said to him, "Curse David. Who shall then say, "Why have you done so? ¹¹ And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeks my life: How much more now may this Benjamite do it? Let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD has bidden him. ¹² It may be that the LORD will look on my affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

¹⁴ And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, "The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil on Absalom.

²¹ and said, "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

¹⁶ Moreover He called for a famine upon the land: He broke the whole staff of bread. ¹⁷ He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

¹ "Comfort all of you, comfort my people", said your God. ² "Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry to her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: For she has received from the LORD's hand double for all her sins."

³⁴ Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." And they divided His clothes, and cast lots.

²³ Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: ²⁴ Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: Because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

²⁴ And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, "Lord, You are God, which has made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them: ²⁵ Who by the mouth of Your servant David has said, 'Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? ²⁶ The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the LORD, and against His Christ.' ²⁷ "For truly against Your holy Child Jesus, whom You have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel determined beforehand to be done.

⁹ "And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: But God was with him, ¹⁰ and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. ¹¹ Now there came a famine over all the land of Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction: And our fathers found no sustenance. ¹² But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first. ¹³ And at the second visit Joseph was made known to his brothers; and Joseph's kindred were made known to Pharaoh. ¹⁴ Then Joseph sent for, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, seventy five souls. ¹⁵ So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,

⁷ So that on the contrary you ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with too much sorrow.

¹¹ lest Satan should get an advantage over us: For we are not ignorant of his devices.

²⁹ Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: ³⁰ And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land; ³¹ and the plenty shall not be known in the land because of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

⁵⁴ And the seven years of dearth began to come, according to as Joseph had said: And the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

⁵⁶ And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians; and the famine waxed very grievous in the land of Egypt.

¹⁸ When that year was ended, they came to him the second year, and said to him, "We will not hide it from my lord, how our money is spent; my lord also has our herds of domestic beasts; there is not anything left in the sight of my lord, except our bodies, and our lands:

²³ Then Joseph said to the people, "Behold, I have bought you and your land for Pharaoh this day: Lo, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.

²¹ Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: In ripening time and in harvest you shall rest.

⁴ and the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer to a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley:

¹² And he will appoint himself captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to plow his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

²⁴ The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that work the ground shall eat clean fodder, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.

¹⁸ And he was exceedingly thirsty, and called on the LORD, and said, "You have given this great deliverance into the hand of your servant: And shall I now die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?"

¹⁴ And they set themselves in the middle of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.

⁵⁰ He gives great deliverance to His king; and shows mercy to His anointed, to David, and to His seed forevermore.

⁴ You are my King, O God: Command deliverances for Jacob.

³⁵ "This Moses whom they refused, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?' is the same that God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

³⁹ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "For as much as God has shown you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are: ⁴⁰ You shall be over my house, and according to your word shall all my people be ruled: Only in the throne will I be greater than you." ⁴¹ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt." ⁴² And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in clothing of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; ⁴³ and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, "Bow the knee": And he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁴ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I am Pharaoh, and without you no man shall lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt." ⁴⁵ And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him Asenath to wife, the daughter of Potipherah, priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.Zaphnathpaaneah; which in the Coptic signifies, A revealer of secrets, or, The man to whom secrets are revealed ⁴⁶ And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁷ And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls. ⁴⁸ And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: The food of the field, which was all around every city, he laid up in the same city.

⁵ Now therefore do not be grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here: For God sent me before you to preserve life.

¹⁰ And Micah said to him, "Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and your food. So the Levite went in.

¹⁶ I was a father to the poor: And the cause which I did not know I searched out.

²¹ He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: ²² To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

¹⁶ You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bear forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: That whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.

¹¹ Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me, unless it was given you from above: Therefore he that delivered Me to you has the greater sin."

¹⁶ So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

¹³ And you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall make haste and bring my father down to this place."

¹⁹ Now you are commanded, do this; take for yourselves wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. ²⁰ Also do not overly regard your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.' "

²⁸ And he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to direct his face to Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen. ²⁹ And Joseph made his chariot ready, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself to him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

³⁴ That you shall say, 'Your servants' trade has been about domestic beasts from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers': That you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians."

²² And in that day I will sever the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; with the intent you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

²⁶ Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

² In My Father's house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

²⁴ Father, I will that those whom You have given Me are also with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which You have given Me: For You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

⁶ The land of Egypt is before you; compel your father and brothers to dwell in the best of the land; let them dwell in the land of Goshen: And if you know any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my domestic beasts."

¹² And Joseph nourished his father, and his brothers, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families.

⁵ But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or his mother, "Whatever you might be profited by me, it is a gift"; ⁶ and does not honor his father or his mother, thinking he shall be exempt.' Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

⁹ And He said to them, "Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition. ¹⁰ For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'Whoever curses father or mother, let him die the death': ¹¹ But you say, 'If a man says to his father or mother, "Whatever you might be profited through me is Corban" ', that is to say, a gift; he shall be free of obligation. ¹² And you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother;

⁴ But if any widow has children or nephews, let them first learn to show piety at home, and to repay their parents: For this is good and acceptable before God.

²³ And they did not know that Joseph understood them; for he spoke to them by an interpreter.

³⁹ Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: Handle Me, and see; for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see me have."

²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and behold My hands; and reach your hand here, and thrust it into My side: And don't be faithless, but believing."

¹⁴ Then Joseph sent for, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, seventy five souls.

¹⁰ Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you: ¹¹ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them signified, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. ¹² To whom it was revealed that, not for themselves, but to us they ministered these things, which are now reported to you by those that have preached the gospel to you with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: For the glory of God illuminates it, and the Lamb is the light of it.

¹¹ And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.

⁴ You hold my eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

²⁰ And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

⁶ But Abram said to Sarai, "Behold, your maid is in your hand; do to her as it pleases you." And when Sarai dealt harshly with her, she fled from her face.

¹⁵ And Abimelech said, "Behold, my land is before you: Dwell where it pleases you."

¹⁸ And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor's son.

³³ Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.

³³ who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.

³⁶ And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: As whatever the king did pleased all the people.

⁴ And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

²¹ And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and the king did according to the word of Memucan:

⁴ And let the maiden which pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti." And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.

¹⁴ Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him, "Let a gallows be made fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak to the king that Mordecai may be hanged on it: Then go in merrily with the king to the banquet." ⁵ And the saying pleased the whole multitude: And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte from Antioch:

²⁵ Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with grain, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: And thus he did to them. ²⁶ And they loaded their donkeys with the grain, and departed from that place.

¹ And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, "Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his sack's mouth. ² And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his grain money." And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

²⁸ Therefore God give you of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine:

¹² All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they shall offer to the LORD, them I have given you.

²⁹ Out of all your gifts you shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all its best, even the hallowed part of it out of it.

¹⁴ butter of cows, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and you did drink the pure blood of the grape.

¹⁶ He would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat: And with honey out of the rock I would have satisfied them."

¹⁴ He makes peace within your borders, and fills you with the finest of the wheat.

¹ Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the rich valleys of those that are overcome with wine!

⁴ And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the first fruit before the summer; which when he that looks on it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.

¹⁷ Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels; ¹⁸ and he carried away all his domestic beasts, and all his goods which he had gotten, the domestic beasts of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, with the intention to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.

²⁷ And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them: And when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:

⁵ And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: And the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

¹ "Listen to Me, O isles; and listen, all you people from afar; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother He has made mention of my name.

²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: They shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me."

¹⁸ and take your father and your households, and come to me: And I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land.

⁷ If a man shall deliver to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, let him pay double.

¹⁶ And you shall consume all the people which the LORD your God shall deliver you; your eye shall have no pity on them: Neither shall you serve their gods; for that will be a snare to you.

¹³ Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with you.

²¹ And your eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

¹¹ Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them: For they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

²² Therefore they inquired of the LORD further, if the man should still yet come to that place. And the LORD answered, "Behold, he has hid himself among the stuff."

¹³ And David said to his men, "Gird on your swords, every man." And every man girded on his sword; and David also girded on his sword: And about four hundred men went up after David; and two hundred stayed by the stuff.

²⁴ For who will hearken to you in this matter? But as his part is that goes down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarries by the stuff: They shall proportion alike."

¹² Now therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth forever: That you may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.

¹⁹ If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land:

¹⁸ Their bows shall also dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.

⁴ And My eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity: But I will recompense your ways upon you, and your abominations shall be in the midst of you: And you shall know that I am the LORD.'

⁹ And My eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense you according to your ways and your abominations that are in the midst of you; and you shall know that I am the LORD who smites.

⁵ And to the others He said in my hearing, "Go after him through the city, and smite: Do not let your eye spare, neither have pity:

³ Therefore, son of man, prepare your stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and you shall remove from your place to another place in their sight: It may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house. ⁴ Then you shall bring forth your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: And you shall go forth at evening in their sight, like those who go forth into captivity.

¹⁷ Nevertheless My eye spared from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

¹⁷ Let him who is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:

³¹ In that day, he who shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: And he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

¹⁹ Now you are commanded, do this; take for yourselves wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

¹ And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: And there was no water for the people to drink.

¹⁶ And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

³ And they brought their offering before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: And they brought them before the tabernacle. ⁴ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ⁵ take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service. ⁶ And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them to the Levites. ⁷ Two wagons and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service: ⁸ And four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ⁹ But to the sons of Kohath he gave none: Because the service of the sanctuary belonging to them was that they should bear on their shoulders.

¹³ even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

¹⁶ So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.

² I counsel you to keep the king's commandment, and in that regard keep the oath of God.

¹⁸ "The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against His commandment: Hear, I implore you, all people, and behold my sorrow: My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

²⁴ And they shall come against you with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, who shall set against you buckler and shield and helmet on every side: And I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge you according to their judgments.

³⁴ And he took and sent dishes to them from before him: But Benjamin's dish was five times as much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.

¹² And Samson said to them, "I will now put forth a riddle to you: If you can certainly declare it to me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty changes of clothes:

¹⁹ And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of clothes to those which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

⁵ And the king of Syria said, "Go to, go, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of clothing.

²² And he said, "All is well. My master has sent me, saying, "Behold, even now there be come to me from Mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: Give them, I implore you, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. ²³ And Naaman said, "Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them on two of his servants; and they bore them before him.

¹¹ And white robes were given to every one of them; and it was said to them that they should rest for yet a little season, until their fellow-servants and their brethren, that shall also be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

¹⁰ And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: And he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

¹¹ And their father Israel said to them, "If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:

³ And the children of Israel said to them, "We wish to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we ate bread to the full; for you have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger."

²² And Reuben said to them, "Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him"; so that he might rescue him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

²¹ And they said to one another, "We are truly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he sought us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us." ²² And Reuben answered them, saying, "Did I not speak to you, asking, 'Do not sin against the child'; and you would not listen? Therefore, behold, his blood also is required."

¹ A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ² It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: That went down to the lower hems of his garments; ³ as the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: For there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that also you love one another. ³⁵ By this all men shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

³¹ Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice: ³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

² fulfill my joy by being likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. ³ Let nothing be done through strife or vain-glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. ⁴ Let not every man look upon his own things, but every man also after the things of others. ⁵ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

¹² Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; ¹³ bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any man has a quarrel against anyone: Even as Christ forgave you, so also you do.

¹³ and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

³⁵ And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, "For I will go down into the grave to my son still mourning." Thus his father wept for him.

³⁶ And their father Jacob said to them, "You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is not here, and will you take Benjamin away: All these things are against me."

³⁸ And he said, "My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: If mischief befalls him along the way in which you go, then you shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave."

²⁸ And the one went out from me, and I said, "Surely he is torn in pieces"; and I have not seen him since:

⁸ So now it was not you that sent me here, but God: And He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. ⁹ Make haste, and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt: Come down to me, do not tarry:

¹⁶ If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had listened to my voice.

²⁴ If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.

²¹ He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

¹ A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.

⁷ When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: And my prayer came in to You, into Your holy temple.

¹¹ And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them.

³⁴ saying, "The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon."

⁴¹ Moreover, while they did not yet believe out of joy, and wondered, He said to them, "Have you any food here?"

¹⁹ But God split a hollow place that was in the jaw, and water came out of there; and when he had drunk, his spirit came back again, and he revived: Therefore, he called the name of that place Enhakkore, which is in Lehi to this day.Enhakkore; that is, the well of him that called; or, the well of him that cried

¹² and they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: And when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: For he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.

⁶ Will You not revive us again: That Your people may rejoice in You?

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

² After two days He will revive us: On the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

³⁰ And Israel said to Joseph, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face, because you are still alive."

²⁸ then he took Him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, ²⁹ "Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word: ³⁰ For my eyes have seen Your salvation,

²¹ When a woman is in labor she has sorrow, because her hour has come: But as soon as she has delivered the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a baby is born into the world. ²² Therefore you now have sorrow: But I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and no man will take your joy from you.
