⁵ Before Him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at His feet.

²⁹ And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of domestic beasts. ³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

¹² I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of you a greater nation and mightier than they.

⁴⁶ And Moses said to Aaron, "Take a censer, and put fire in it from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly to the congregation, and make an atonement for them: For there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun. ⁴⁷ And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the middle of the congregation; and behold, the plague was begun among the people: And he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. ⁴⁸ And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed. ⁴⁹ Now those that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside those that died about the matter of Korah.

²⁴ They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts on them, with the poison of dragons, of the dust.

⁷ Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the hills also moved and were shaken, because He was wroth. ⁸ There went up a smoke out of His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it. ⁹ He bowed the heavens also, and came down: And darkness was under His feet. ¹⁰ And He rode upon a cherub, and flew: Yes, He flew upon the wings of the wind. ¹¹ He made darkness His secret place; His pavilion all around Him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. ¹² At the brightness that was before Him, His thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire. ¹³ The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave His voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

⁵⁰ He made a way for His anger; He did not spare their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; ⁵¹ and smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham:

² God is jealous, and the LORD revenges; the LORD revenges, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserves wrath for His enemies. ³ The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
