John 2:13-17

13 Then the Jews' Passover was at hand; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, 14 and found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting: 15 And when He had made a lash of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16 and He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things from this place; do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise." 17 And His disciples remembered that it was written, "The zeal for Your house has eaten Me up."

37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man thirsts, let him come to Me, and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." 39 (But this He spoke about the Spirit, which those who believe in Him should receive: For the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

John 10:23-38

23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon's porch. 24 Then the Jews came all around Him, and said to Him, "How long do You make us doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly." 25 Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you did not believe: The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: 28 And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. 29 My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one." 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, "Many good works I have shown you from My Father; for which of those works do you stone Me?" 33 The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God." 34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the Word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 do you say of Him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming'; because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me. 38 But if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works: That you may know, and believe, that the Father is in Me, and I in Him."

20 And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in its height: And he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar. 21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: And he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. 22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: Also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold. 23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high. 24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: From the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. 25 And the other cherub was ten cubits: Both the cherubims were of one measure and one size. 26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub. 27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house: And they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the middle of the house. 28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold. 29 And he carved all the walls of the house all around with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside. 30 And the floors of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside. 31 And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: The lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall. 32 The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved on them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold on the cherubims, and on the palm trees. 33 So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall. 34 And the two doors were of fir tree: The two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. 35 And he carved on it cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: And covered them with gold fitted on the carved work.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of you, and of your own have we given you. 15 For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. 16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes of your hand, and is all your own.

Why?" says the LORD of hosts. "Because of My house that is in waste, and all of you, every man, runs to his own house. 10 Therefore the heaven over you is kept back from dew, and the earth is kept back from her fruit. 11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground brings forth, and upon men, and upon domestic beasts, and upon all the labor of the hands."
